Someone should tell this clown that 104% of all 40 year or older Cobras are still out there. Another victory for Shelby over Porsche! 
Even before the green thing came along, US politicians were pushing some incentives for crushing old cars. And then the classic/antique car enthusiasts started complaining...
I'm all for driving a car until it's not worth repairing anymore. With the price of premium lately, I drive my 94 RX-7 less and drive my wife's 91 Sentra more. And those wonderful greener emissions are not without cost. I replaced the Sentra's entire exhaust system including labor for about 2/3 the cost of the catalytic converter on our 98 Accord. Luckily I have been able to reset the Accord's computer a few days before emissions inspections and avoided replacing the converter twice so far. That Canadian guy would love me, I drive around knowing that my emissions system is messed up for over 2 years without fixing it.  |
