Question How Much Will Super Bowl Winners Make

After reading this I kind of find it hard to believe that many people tune in just to watch the commercials. Compared to everyone else the players don't get a lot of the pie.

I'm hoping to get back in time to watch for a change.

I was due out at 0500 this morn (Thurs) but still haven't been called. Been first out for hours. It's now almost 11:00 CST. Maybe work will fall down and I will get back late enough Friday to stretch into late Sunday at home. The hope is building and building like it usually does.

No wonder there are more heart attacks.

Wes,

Don't even think about a heart attack. With any luck you will get to watch the whole game and the commercials. I still can't believe that the percent that gave who tune in just to watch the commercials is that high. I have the PIP in my TV and stop the game channel and watch another one for a few minutes, then switch back to the game channel and just skip the commercials.

Well I guess we will now know where Frenchy and the Ho Sisters will be for the next day or so. Fred, let us know how much they made. I might want to get some frogs and start a business.

I like the average price of a ticket being $800. Average price, not top price. Who in their right mind would pay $1,600 for a pair of tickets to watch a football game? I know there will be 72,000 people there each having paid an average of $800. In my opinion, they are nuts.

Wayne,

Don't forget to count the ones that will buy them from scalpers for twice that price.

Ron

You mean those independant ticket re-selling entrepreneurs.

I go to the Canadian Grand Prix every year which is held on an island in the middle of the St. Lawrence River, just south of down down Montreal. The easiest way to get there is via the Metro (subway) and about 99% of the people take this means of transportation. When we exit the Metro station, we have to push our way through dozens and dozens of scalpers that are right at the exit doors buying and selling tickets. I call them human sea gulls.
