I refuse to participate in "Hallmark" holidays, like Valentines Day.
Before we were married I made that clear to my wife. I do not perform due to an artificial date on the calendar. I buy my wife flowers and things 2 to 5 times a year, but I do it because I want to, not because I have to.
In reality, she appreciates it more that way, as she knows I do it because I love her.
