I guess he wants to be close to the people that he chased out of Cuba if that is the case.

Hey, If Castro's brother takes over and some "positive economic changes" take place, and the country opens up to Americans again.........Maybe all those old 1950's American cars over there will be great imports as "Barn Cars".
Stranger things have happened.
Just kidding, Bill

Who would have thought that he would be the last Soviet style communist left on the block??? I wonder how long Raul will last..he's already 79 years old,
and who's in line to replace him....

Ya know Bill, I thought the same thing about those cars, folks in the U.S. would be lined up to buy them. What makes it even easier....there made in the USA so a simple 9801 entry AKA, US goods returned, no duties.....

I've always thought that the best way to bring down communism is to trade with them.
Just look at China - they have had to make significant changes to their form of communism because of all the free market stuff that was happening out of their control. It will take time and patience for China, but a lot of that has to do with their hive way of thinking as well. Cuba would be a lot easier.

The only one really holding it up was Fidel...I give Raul less than a year until he is out and an open economy starts. I have visited Cuba (through Mexico) and the conditions are deplorable, worse than Jamaica or any of the other 'tourist' islands. The people have had enough and all it will take is a spark to set them off.
