Wonder If This Will Impact NASCAR
I wonder if this will have any impact on their continued support and sponsorship of the NASCAR Spring Cup Series.

You should have gotten the official NASCAR model.

If it's the NASCAR model you have to use it left handed.

I don't get it, I'm with Sprint, have been for years and years. Never had a problem, $50 a month, 1000 minutes, weekends/evenings free. Works for me, whats the big deal here?

Ernie,
I'm not sure but they just seem to be one of the many big companies that are losing tons of money. Of course we are not in a recession at all. The President said so yesterday afternoon on TV. The dollar is dropping faster than a stone in the lake and I think all of Washington is in Denial mode.

I'm OK with the "Google Cup Series" next year.

Or the Made In China Series. That way they could make the cars cheaper.

It seems like Toyota is the sponsor of just about everything these days so maybe we will see Toyota Cup next year. Wouldn't that be a joke? Then every car would not only be the same, it would have to be powered by a Toyota engine. I wonder if the teams would still be allowed to put a Ford, Dodge, or Chevy sticker on the bumper?
If I was a Sprint shareholder, I would not be very pleased about having my dividend cut off for the foreseeable future while the company is pumping many millions into a race series.

Wayne,
I don't think we are going to see Sprint sponsoring the series for very long. I was listening to one of their many talk shows the other day and they were talking about what would happen if Sprint left as a sponsor. No one seemed to have any idea, so they don't have any lined up and I fear if the economy don't start to improve soon, it will be very hard to get any company to commit to that much expense.

Ernie,
I was talking with my neighbor who is a retired Cal Trans Engineer and he said that Cal trans got all Sprint Phones and they aren't worth a darn, Can't get dial tone at time when they are on top of a mountain and other times they can be in sight of a tower and they still don't work. He got an A.T.& T. phone and is very happy with it. I don't even have a cell phone so I know nothing about how they work in this area. He has called me a couple of times from way back in the hills when they are camping in Canada.

It's all about where the cell phone companies have 'coverage' for any particular area when it comes to getting a signal. Sprint has Hawaii pretty well covered. But it's a known fact when you head into the North Shore area mountain ranges here, for instance, nobody gets a signal from any of the carriers.
MOBI is a new cell phone company, I have considered switching to them here locally. But I keep hearing about the lack of signal in to many places around the Island, so I'll sit tight for now. I hear the same complaints for every carrier at some location. You need to shop for a cell that works 'mostly' for where you live.

Ernie,
Why would one phone work here and one that has a tower just a mile or so away not part of the time. I know atmosphere can interfere but not to this level. The only places around here that I know all brands work all the time are when they are driving or in a market running into people with those dam carts.
