Thumbs down What the (expletive deleted) is wrong with these people?

Why would anyone race in these conditions?

Guess I wouldn't make a good driver, flag or no flag I'd be off that track.

I can understand the storm, we have regular end-of-the-world type rainstorms here in Florida that look like your driving into a wall of water. You can literally watch the wall of rain coming at you.

You wouldn't believe the idiots that keep on going 70mph on I-95 while I'm way off in the grass.

Question

About the same as the idiots that drive 70 MPH on the freeway when the fog is so thick you can't see the tail lights of the car in front of you until you are about 5 feet from them. Several times I have pulled off the road at Vacaville and spent the night waiting for the fog to lift as I was to scared to drive in that kind of mess.

Default Loaded with money and stupid

Cobabill They are loaded with money and STUPID. They all think they have 4-wheel drive and paddles. I thing I don't get is how dangerous this race was and that these drivers are not smart enough to tell the event people we are not racing today. I guess they are not happy unless someone gets killed. It's a little like nascar, everybody wants to see the big accident, but then when there top driver is killed they finally added soft walls. The walls are not that soft at 180mph+. If you want to see other exotic cars damaged go to exotic accidents on google. There is a brand new GT-40 with 7 miles on it totaled on a golf course with a steel pipe where the passenger would have been siting. Dumb driver said he wanted to see how fast it was. Yea, over the grass, through the creek, and hit the bridge and pole. Rick L.

You can go to Wrecked Exotic Cars, Fast Cars, Car Accidents, Car Crash Pictures - WreckedExotics.com to see a lot more of these cars too.

Isn't it a 'must be there and must race' for points?.

Simiply, because in road racing, they race rain or shine, NO RAIN OUTS.......
Look at some of the footage from Lemans and other races in the past and you'll see they raced in much the same conditions....this past year's Daytona Rolex 24 was run in the rain for quite a few hours......

BTW: I have raced on a wet track before, but will not race in the rain!!!!!!!

Right, but that'll never happen, there'll always be enough crazy people entered that a few will race no matter what the conditions are.......Rain,hail,snow,sleet, some folks will race in anything, I won't!!!!!!!!

If I remember right this was a wet race, and then all of a sudden they got hit with a down pour. They were not racing the entire race in those conditions.

Looked like he was just clipped, and flew over the rear of the car. A few seconds later he is running, and jumping over the fence. I bet everything hurt for a week.....OUCH

I would have said Detroit, but this was a good response.
