Here is a link to the story on Comcast and a photograph. Why would any wife accompany her philandering husband into a press conference like this one? If you were going to deny the allegations and try to show your wife supported you, that would be one thing, but this clown admitted it! How humiliating for her...on the other hand, maybe that counts for additional reparations in the divorce proceeding!

NY Guv Answers Prostie Charges


Embattled New York Governor Eliot Spitzer held a hastily scheduled press conference to answer charges that he patronized a prostitution ring, telling reporters, “I’ve been screwed.”

While Mr. Spitzer refused to elaborate on his comment, he added for emphasis, “I’ve been screwed and it’s cost me a lot.”

Aides to the New York governor applauded him for responding quickly to the charges but across the state political observers wondered if he had raised more questions than he had answered.

Mr. Spitzer, who has endorsed Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY), did receive a vote of support from her husband, former President Bill Clinton, who offered to “take over his position” if the governor is forced to step down.

“I am happy to perform all of the roles that Eliot has been performing,” Mr. Clinton said, adding that he had the experience to make crucial phone calls at 3 A.M.

Any woman depraved enough to get busy with Elliot Spitzer should be forced to resign from the escort service. There are just some jobs that Americans should not be willing to do.

The complaint filings the U.S. Attorney's Office made in the Emperors Club VIP prostitution ring show details about Client 9, which allegedly is Governor Eliot Spitzer. Here are some of the highlights:

Client 9 paid $4,300 for the services of "Kristen," described as "An American, petite, very pretty brunette, 5-feet-5 inches and 105 pounds.”

Client 9 was "paying for everything -- train tickets, cab fare from the hotel and back, mini bar or room service, travel time and hotel."

Emperors Club management was unhappy that Client 9's payment hadn't arrived by mail as promised and "asked [him] to give Kristen an extra $1,500 or $2,000 to avoid future payment problems." (Client 9, apparently a regular customer, had some money left over in his account.)

The February 13 tryst occurred at the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel, Room 871. The door to the room was left ajar.

After their just-under-two-hour meeting, Kristen reported back to the booker and said she thought things went well.

The booker said Client 9 could be "difficult" suggesting he "would ask you to do things that, like, you might not think were safe - you know - I mean that ... very basic things." To which Kristen replied, "I have a way of dealing with that ... I'd be like listen dude, you really want the sex?"

Spitzer was known from the Emperors Club as "George Fox," who happens to be a friend and donor to Spitzer. When the NY Times contacted Fox and asked if he accompanied Spitzer to DC, Fox said, "Why would you think that? I did not.” But then when told Spitzer used Fox's name (with his own, real Fifth Avenue address), Fox said, "That is the first I have heard of it. Until I speak to the governor further, I have no comment."

Ron, from a different perspective, almost like the former Gov of CT that did felony prison time for accepting bribes etc etc., and potentially could have been a Senator or in a Cabinet position.

According to a news report , Spitzer was elected Gov of NY with the highest recorded winning margin . However, he probably does not have too many political friends due to his aggressive AG activities.

Wonder if the Fed's will prosecute or plea bargain ?
