Exclamation Need Help From SBCYAHOO.NET users

As of about two to three weeks ago I stopped getting all e-mail and notifications through CC. After 23 hours on the phones with various so called 2nd tier AT&T techs who will only tell me that they can't do anything about the block as that is Yahoos servers and they won't call Yahoo claiming they have no access to them. Liars. I have sent in 27 e-mail reports from the home page Feedback link with no results. I have called the lower lever techs who can't do anything at all. Two 2nd tier techs refused to even let me speak to a supervisor, one of them told me that if I was getting any of my e-mail I should be happy. As of less than a year ago I still have a trouble ticked number where one of the 2nd tier techs got a Yahoo tech on a 3 way call with us and when I told her what was going on she looked and came back and told us that she saw the problem and it would take a few hours to sort out as it was intermittent. About 4 hours later it was fixed. AT&T uses Yahoo servers and they have to have a way to contact them. They just have a group of 2nd tier techs now who don't want to do anything but sit and draw their pay. My last E-Mail this morning I informed them that I was going to pay my bill according to the service and that if they got any of it they should be happy. Once the Internet part of the sales office opens I am going to call them and inform them that until this problem is resolved I will be withholding a part of the payment. Would all others on here who use SBCYAHOO.NET please start flooding them with complaints even if you are getting your e-mails through the club? Yahoo is in the mist of putting out a New and Improved version of their e-mail program which means that no one will be able to get any e-mail for a month or so once they force that on us. I have a feeling that this may be the underlying problem with the sudden cut off of e-mails from just Brents servers. All others still come through ok. I have spend a total of over 70 hours in the past three weeks trying to find anyone that will look at this and have just been given the run around. I even set up a G-Mail account that bypasses Yahoos servers completely and everything came through great, so it is not in the club servers. But then I couldn't get back on CC as the authentication e-mail that the club sends was blocked by Yahoo and Brent had to activate my account. As I told the last person, I make out the check to pay for the service to AT&T, not Yahoo and Yahoo will not talk to any subscriber, just an ISP tech or site administrator, but they won't even give me the number that Brent can contact them at.

Rants over.

Ron, I'm on a couple Yahoo mgs. boards, and they ask for my 'alternate' email address when I have log in problems. I've never had an alternate email address??, and it takes 3-4 emails before it's resolved!. Pain...in...the...........

Perry,

They have this crappy set up that you can create sub accounts and then use throw away e-mail names in them. But that is no help as they use the same dam mail program and server as the main one. I have a couple set up to use with places that when I am through and don't want any more contact with them I can just delete the e-mail names and deactivate the sub account. The problem with that is you have to log in under that name. Several people around here are having some problems with the SBC/YAHOO mail and they are different from mine. Mine all started when Yahoo decoded I should be using their new Beta version of the so called improved e-mail program and I couldn't even open it. Once I managed after several tries to get a tech that knew how to put it back to the regular e-mail everything worked but through CC for me. Now it seems that AT&Ts attitude is if anything works at all you should be happy. And the lying from the 2nd tier techs about not being able to talk to Yahoo and that it was my job to contact Yahoo has really ticked me off. And when they refuse to give their names or let you speak to a supervisor, that is gong to far. Things have certainly changes since I worked in the tech group and with the labs.
I have no log on problems. I just can't receiove anything sent through CC as they arec blocking it for some reason.

Ron,
I have had a lot of problems with Yahoo since MS made the offer to buy them out. It seems that the old corpoartae greed plan is under way. Take all you can, drive the company into the ground and then sell it to the highest bidder and let all the employees fend for themselves. I see this coming for Yahoo.

I heard they have made "plans" to take care of their employees should they get bought out. You and I both know that is a crock of $hit. In today's corporate "give me EVERYTHING and you take nothing" mentality world you know they will tell you anything you want to hear to get you to work for a while longer while the exectitives are cleaning the tills.

Mark my word on this one.

Warren,

The G-Mail account is on a separate server and I have been on here for years and it would take me the rest of my life to get everything back to where I know what I am doing. And people all over have this e-mail address for me. I guess I could just set the G-mail account for this site and then have to change sites every time I want to see if I have anything from CC, but that is a lot of work. It is just easier to log on once in a while and see if I have anything. I went to an e-mail page for Yahoo today where people can ask questions and it is full of complaints and mad people who can't even open their mail as they put that new program in. That was what happened to me and I told them I had finally gotten an AT&T tech to manually switch me back as the link to go back wasn't even on the dam new page. My big problem will be if my account ever gets disabled again I won't be able to get back on as the validation e-mail it sends is also blocked. Why Yahoo just comes up with a new non-working program and then suddenly sticks it on every ones page is beyond me. Especially an e-mail program. Lots of angry people at that tech site but Yahoo quit monitoring it years ago because they got tired of the complaints. And that was what they posted themselves, that we could help each other out as if we have access to the servers.

Yahoo sucks.

They shut our firm website down due to a hacker. Only notice they sent was to the e-mail account set up with the website, which...duh...we couldn't access cuz they shut the website down.

I specifically gave them my aol account as the alternate to receive all notices because it never goes down...they refused to use it for a variety of BS reasons over the years.

We reloaded the website and went with another server...those folks found nothing wrong with the site. They said they get most of their customers from Yahoo due to phukups like that.

Did I mention Yahoo sucks?

Only online company that I have never had one problem with and which has damn near Apple-level ability to keep out viruses through several levels of e-mail filters (before my McAfee ever even gets to them) is AOL. It may be old school...but it works.

Jamo,

Did I mention Yahoo sucks?

You are to kind. What I said the last hour I was on the phone with what AT&T calls a 2nd tier tech now can't be posted in public and the idiot told me he was going to have me arrested for calling him a fool. I told him to go right ahead and when we got to court he could then prove it to everyone and he just hung up on me.
