Personally I believe we need a poll.
Very simple, do the two trouble makers in question get run outta town on a rail or not. The lounge is used as it is intended. If those that do not like it or think CC doesn't need then why are you here (in the lounge)? CC is a big place, go play in another part of the sand box, but don't suggest that those of us that use the lounge every day be deprived of it. Ron, make it clear the tolerances can be dealt with quickly as and if needed. Let's leave it at that and go on. As for the treats that is BS, someone makes a threat to me I am going to take it seriously, period. I have been a victim once before for not doing so, I assure you I will not make the same mistake again. Fortunately I have not had any aggression directly on CC. Sure Meat and I tossed around a bit but I just ignored him and I am happy for it. I don't need that kind of crap and neither does he. Lets just do as Jamo stated, Police ourselves and go on if this BS continues put up a poll and throw out the trouble makers. We have done it before! |
How you guys have managed to turn this "Do I need to close the lounge" thread (which was started over several arguement) into another arguement is beyond me!
plain and simple.. if you can't get along with someone, you aren't required to post in their threads or reply to their posts. It's not that hard guys! It is the DEFINITION of "policing yourself!" http://www.northernsun.com/images/thumb/0184.jpg |
Hey, Josh. this is just a discussion.
I think I am more concerned when I'm having a normal post in a thread, and UNSOLICITED comments are then made. I have THEN chosen to quit responding in threads where the undesirable post was made, but it's hard to 'self-police' when the post is made AFTER your own post. I haven't read any of the posts in questionable threads. I just quit reading any thread that SOUNDS like it might be confrontational, argumentative. So yes... in that regard, don't read the thread, it's easy. :) but.... when people start slamming after I/someone posts, that can be a problem. I don't care any more; i'm staying out of 'those' threads. I'm only posting in this one to explain WHY i don't post in 'here' much anymore, and I'll be jumping back out of it now!! I have now added two more to my ignore list! yea! the problem though, is if you aren't 'logged in' then their posts still show up. darn. :D Kristen ps. I THEN go to my 'email notification' and remove my subscription to the thread. There are actually several ways in which a person can 'ignore' undesirables. I'm only subscribed to about 3 threads at any given time. Well maybe 5-6 if the Texas forum is popping!!! :D :D 1. ignore list 2. unsubscribe 3. don't open irritating threads 4. stay away from threads that have confrontational personalities in the 'new post' line 5. Come play in the Texas forum!! edit to add: I have gone and read a couple of threads since Jamo posted the question.... all so unnecessary. Can't we all just get along??? ;) |
Completely agree HLC!

When you see a post that you don't like and you respond to it - viola! - you're now the troublemaker. If you don't like a post, then don't respond to it. Ignore the member. Learn how to use the scroll button. It's not rocket science. Your pal, Meat. |
I didn't start this thread to ask for suggestions...don't want any, and frankly some of you making the suggestions don't have a clue. As Ron said, we do just fine. The intent of the thread was a warning.
Now, Ron and I have our fingers cocked and loaded on the button. This thread is closed given that everyone who has posted on it can not now argue they weren't warned. No warnings, no discussion...nothing. Say something either Ron or I don't like, and you'll be taking a rest. Don't care if you're a long timer, normally a good guy or whatever. Don't think it's fair? Tough...we do. Thanks for your expected cooperation. Please...somebody double damn dare us. |
