I would think the ALCU would be all over this bill like flies on a pile of $hit.

Just what is the number of this bill? I would like to go to our site and read it myself. I don't always believe everything they put in the magazines and we do have a hamburger stand here that people have met at for the past 50 years and they DO NOT film cars there. Now the stand is going out of business in another year, but that is more because of the economy than anything else. The last of our old doughnut shops closed last week after 40 years of being open.

Watch out Ron when you are driving the '69 Cobra around town. With the death of that donut shop, the police will have a lot more time to hand out tickets.

OK. Its time for any policeman on this site to flame me!

Warren,

If you get flamed for that mild remark watch what happens after this. About three years ago the CHP used to meet over at a small deli about a mile from my house. There seemed to always be at least three to five patrol cruisers parked there. Some person started video taping them parking and making sure they got the license numbers and times and dates. After about a week of this I guess they took the tape to the CHP office. The local paper had a small piece about it, but tried to keep it as quiet as they could. Anyway, to this day, I have never seen another CHP car parked at that place. I would rather have had them parked there where I knew where they are than out trying to see if I have my seat belt fastened.

Ron
I think 99% of the police force across the nation does a heroic and fantastic job. But when people see a patrol car stopped for hours, they wonder where their tax dollars are going.

Like any other profession, its only a small minority that pulls the rest down.

OK, now lets pick on lawyers. What do you call 100 dead lawyers? A good start! I have to watch out .. I have 2 neighbors that are lawyers.

That piece of buttering up isn't going to get you out of your next ticket. And most of the law enforcement do the best they can working in the current system which is broken. Like any profession, they do have their share of jerks, and like all other professions, the jerks are what they are all judged by. The local telephone company had the same problem here years ago. Six of their outside repair people would take their trucks and park at some restaurant in Redding and sit there all day. Then turn in the trouble tickets they were supposed to be working on as No Trouble Found. At least that part wasn't a lie. But after some citizen taped their trucks for a few days, all of them were transferred to Southern Calif. Only time we ever got to get even with that part of the state for anything.
