Well Glynn, I guess that just proves that your genetics includes a "slow learner" gene. We came over 380 years ago this year knowing full well how screwed up it was over there.
Just a few more comments:
You doubt Palin's ability to govern? She governs a state that is 10 times the size of that pissy little island across the sea. And from the looks of things does a much better job of it than your socialist leader Gordon Brown is doing.
Church of England the one "true religion"? Sure, founded by a bloated, gout ridden maniac, that managed to kill more women than Ted Kennedy.
No problems until you left the empire? Sure, spend years screwing everything up and then just leave.
Instead of commenting on McCain's marriage how about a little on the bi-polar, bulimic slut that you guys canonized? And the big eared dumb ass she married.
And just what the hell is the gall of you guys calling that sissyfied game where you run around in shorts and hold up colored cards for tripping "football". What a bunch of pansies!
Hard time dealing with pompous windbag? Well Glyn, sometimes you just have to learn to live with your limitations.
Sorry, I've got to go get the shotguns and birddogs loaded up. Bird season is here!!

GlynnMeek:
What was your source for mentioning 150,000 new voters?
If you spend 3 years as a community organizer, create a voter registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters
First time I have seen a factual accomplishment as a Community Organizer, inferred that a single individual can take credit for the success of the voter registration drive.
With your analysis, any thoughts on the voting pattern indicating " Present " at the state level and since being in the US Senate the number of session days missed over the last 19 + months while campaigning, i.e.
representing 13 million. The 131 Bills sponsored, solely initiated by the individual or joined in after being introduced ( Praise and Glory for the non-participants ), which were all passed into law ?
" become chairman of the state Senate's Health and Human Services committee " As chairman , what are the factual accomplishments that can be verified, i.e., measurable on going results ?
If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer, I thought, subject to correction, the latest position held had a salary in the $200,000 to $300,000 range ?
etc

Most of the fraud in voter registration can and has been traced back to a group that O was part off and represented as a lawyer -- ACORN.

I was fed up with a place where you are judged on your accent and which part of the country you were born. Even though it doesn't seem so sometimes, America is still the only pure "meritocracy" in the world, and the streets are paved with gold...lol. LOVE to visit the UK, but no way would I live there again. The Muslims are completely f***ing it up!

Two examples of " Leadership ":
* Richard Ward, currently CEO of Lloyd's of London having never worked in the insurance industry, PhD in physical chemistry from Exeter. As the CEO of the International Petroleum Exchange, 1999-2005, in London, where he made the controversial move of replacing the market's open pit-trading floor with all electronic operation. At Lloyd's he has replaced paperwork with electronic claims processing

* Joe Gibbs, as head coach ( 1st time ) of the Redskins, compiled a record of 154-94 and three Super Bowl wins. Currently the owner and CEO of Joe Gibbs Racing and his 3 Teams are 6th, 7th, and 8th in the NASCAR Chase.
Joe gives pep talks to his race teams, same approach as football

Wrong. He is on record at 28% on capital gains (you selling your house, Steve? - pony up!) and 39.6% on ordinary dividend income.
What does that matter?? Inheritance taxes, at ANY level, are piracy. Pure and simple. Taxes on those estates were paid all along...what makes you think the Gov't is ENTITLED to take more? Get real, willya?
No, you won't. You will get as much as a $1000 credit (only if you're married - as much as $500 if you're single), which is an enormous difference from a tax cut - Obama has not offered out a single tax cut to date.
Apart from your misapplication of just how much will come back to you, and in recognition that the cost of living (i.e., food, heat, transportation) is what is crushing those on the low end of the income stratus, what basis do you have for thinking that any business is suddenly going to "stand to make a lot more"? Any more than the $300 did? This is fantasy - Obama's tax credit will only offset taxes due - it is not a $1000 (maximum) check in hand. Please - read what this syncophant of the Democratic Party is saying - it sure ain't what YOU think it is.
-Roger
|
Roger,
Obamas initial numbers did say 28% - he has since revised that to no more than 20%. And that 20% is only applicable to households making $250K or over. So, no - It will not apply to me.
You will get no argument from me on estate taxes.
My household will get a $1K credit, as well as a mortgage credit of 10% of my motgage interest. More people will get this credit as you do not need to itemise for it.
McCains tax plan will do a lot less for me and the majority of Americans.
And regarding debates, while I do think it is good to see our candidates in both situations, how often do you think Bush or Clinton went in front of a cheering/jeering crowd for an anything goes session? Most events that a President attends will be structured, or will have a limited scope of discussion that will play better to Obamas strengths.
Steve

Well, good for you! A dawning of true hope on your horizon... However, as you served a previous life as a subject (small "s"), doubtless you've never been privileged to experience the "hobby of killing animals". As a Citizen now, you have that privilege - further, upon undertaking such a passage you might discover some deeper understanding of the prejudice of your comments regarding the fundamental souls of your new world .
Hey, give it a shot...you just might find a passion for it .

Deer too! They actually have deer hunting season there. Tiny little rascals, I've seen them, bear a striking resemblance to 'Bambi'.

Only issue with the deer there, is that they're so damn small they're probably only good for finger food .
Still. Pheasant hunting in Paradise....gotta bring the Beretta next trip.
