93 still in short supply round here..

This is ridiculous!, I'm actually sneaking around to get 5 gallons of 93 at a time. in a container no less???. I know the owners of two stations and I would ask every time I filled up my truck, 'when' you guys getn' 93?, they finally let me in with the 'privileged few' but, we were reduced to pretending to get fuel for our lawn mowers.

Same thing around here , but I`m not sure what is supposed to be 93 octane actually is . Went to a local cruise in last evening and shut the engine off and it ran on ( 427 S/O ) . Happened not once , but several times and the only thing different is the gas I had to scrounge up at several stations .
I may have to start adding 110 VP racing fuel from the motorcycle shop ... at least they have 50 gal drums of it .... @ $7.35 /gal !

Or, you pick up a 5 gallon can of toluene, 117 octane. Mix 2 gallons toluene to 8 gallons of med or premium for about 100 octane. The oil companies use toluene to upgrade fuel so it's good and safe.
