I sure you did get a kick out of them eating out of your hand.
It fun to do that with animals that aren't tamed.
I was camping in the Hill Country in 1989 during the Fall. The Park Ranger asked if I had any chocolate chip cookies.I thought the guy was trying to bum some cookies from me.
He then told me that the deer LOVE Chocolate Chip Cookies.I made a trip into town and got some.
With a little patience I would be surrounded by 1/2 dozen of them eating them out of my hand.It would be with an out stretched arm but still pretty cool. I have some pictures of it I'll if I can find them.

You mean like this?
Stayed at an RV park for a week in Maine a few years ago. They had hundreds of bunny rabbits that were 1/2 tame, 1/2 wild. As long as you did not startle them, you could pat them. But one dog barking, and they would head for the hills. The owner said if you wanted one, just take it home with you.
Purple Venom. Nice photos.

Venom,
Those are very nice photos and I really like the one with the homes on the hillside. All of the colors are fantastic.
Warren & Fred,
We used to have deer by the dozens that would come over to the dam parking area begging food. I saw some bucks with huge racks. They finally had to move them out of there because if you didn't feed them they would try to get into the cars and were tearing the upholstery, so the threat of lawsuits caused them to haul all the deer to a far distant place in the wilderness.
The same used to be true for squirrels in Sacramento on the Capitol lawn. They would come by the dozens and just sit and chatter at you until you fed them. I used to buy peanuts by the huge bag and sit on a bench letting them come get them out of my hand. Much politer than people. Each squirrel would take one and go off to eat it and then come back and get at the end of the line and wait until it was his turn again. I don't think they have them there now either.,

Great day to vote AND take a 2 hour ride. Too bad it was overcast so the fall colors are not as good as when the sun is shining.

Sure does. Who did the Cobra vote for Warren?
I like that piece of road. It looks pretty smooth. Our streets and roads have so many pot holes that you can't find any way to drive down them and not have at least one wheel in one.

Oh, well at least you got to go for a drive. I fear that our driving weather around here is about over for the next several months.

Tru,
That's ok, you can soon take pictures of the snow and post them for us to see. Our weather has taken a real turn for the cooler stuff. It got down to 34 last night and is just up to about 38 right now. We don't have much Fall or spring here any more it seems.

Fred,
COLD. We have gone right into cold weather now. It was about 34 this morning here and I believe it was 20 at Burney. We just don't seem to have much Spring or Fall out here any more.

I believe the high here was 57 yesterday with just a light breeze. But that is cold when you are coming off 110+ days. And it just takes a little time to adjust to it. From the people wearing heavy coats, a stranger would think they were in Alaska. Heating and fire wood have really gone up the past few days. Jack has to have his propane tank filled almost every other day now. His sales have really shot up in the past week.

At 10 AM, its all the way up to 61°F but overcast skies. Rain due in this afternoon.
I could have saved the state a lot of money yesterday. They could have just looked at my ballot and declared the opposite side the winner.
Three referendums, the President and Senate race ... I voted for all the losers. Guess that makes me a ultra-right wing Republican in the Socialistic Gulag Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Heck, we ain't even a state! We're a Commonwealth ... along with Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

Yea, but so far you have managed to avoid Floridas screw ups. If they keep on, they may not be allowed to vote in an election one of these days. Must be because the state is full of wealthy, retired, old senile people.
I see they are still fighting over which side won on the initiative out here over Gay Marriages. So far both sides are claiming they won.
