Believers in Obama

The following was from a 'friend" of 25 years, when I posed questions which she refused to answer... her disdain for anything questioning Obama's motives would trash, what I thought was, a significant friendship.

"I hesitate to even acknowledge you at this point. But I have to tell you that you are one of the most mean-spirited, angry people I've ever, ever known. *** (her husband) has read your emails that you have sent in the last 24 hrs. and all he had to say is that you aren't near as smart as you think you are and you have a lot of anger.

I was trying to do something good and you took it so personally, for whatever reason, that you had to become mean and hateful in your writings.

I can not call someone like you a friend. You are insensitive and hurtful. I don't want any contact with you again. I hope that somewhere along your journey, you may find some peace. "

nothing more than a textbook Marxist. This email exudes tolerance. All I did was ask questions.

Wow! What a bunch of pot calling the kettle black! How many times have I been insulted in this forum for pointing out the failings of the GOP?

I rarely defend the DNC because a lot of what is said has a fair degree of truth to it, but a lot of you are just as closed-minded as those zombie-like drones that worship Obama.

And, quite honestly, the last 8 years have been a disaster, and the DNC has only held Congress for 2 - of course the pendulum is going to swing the other way, and it is going to do it hard. You have earned the backlash - I'm just sorry that I keep having to go along for the ride on the stupid policies of the DNC and GOP that all of you seem to keep voting for.

You are definitely correct that true blame for a lot of the mess we are in is because of ALL of the politicians. Much of the corporate welfare and the housing mess started in the 90's with .... a democrat in Bill Clinton and Hillary trying to socialize healthcare. It was defeated by both republicans and democrats becuase it was a deeply flawed plan. Now everyone seems to think this is a good idea. it was bad then and it is bad now. Just ask anyone from England or canada that has waited 6-9 months for a mitral valve replacement "hoping" that don't die of heart problems.

"W" continued digging the hole(grave?) deeper but 89% of everyone in the country and over 75% I believe of Congress was for the war after 9/11. before you attack me I agree we should of been out a long time ago and went after Osama but that has't happened. That is what Bush's biggest downfall has been. An inability to admit when he was wrong but it was just as many democrats as republicans that have supported the war only to change their tune when it became unpopular. Personally I don't expect nor do I want teh government to solve my problems. #1 I don't believe they can or want to and #2 they will find a way to screw up what is working okay!
