Buffett, Powell, & Ernie
I have had my head in the bilges for the past couple of days, so I haven't been here. I am trying to ready Imagine for passage from Florida to S.E. Asia in the near future.
I am wondering what those from the right are thinking about Powell & Buffett in the Obama camp? As always politics make strange bedfellows. Oh yeah, just because you're from the right. That doesn't always mean you are correct.
One last thing.... what did you guys do with Ernie? Is he buried in the backyard somewhere

I don't give a rat's rear end how any other person (especially a celebrity - including politicians, actors, sports stars or famous business people) either endorses or votes for. They are stupid on both sides of the aisle.

CDC, You have no comment on our warrior Mr. Powell. I think Bush turned him sour on being a republican. I will say this about the man. He did leave with honor without bashing GW. Powell could have gotten my vote anytime!

If you saw him on 'meet the press', that, by all counts was a 'strained' endorsement if I ever saw one. He knew he was between a rock and hard place and I didn't buy it, especially after that loooooooong explanation. More of a revenge play on his tenure with the bush adm..

I listened to GW for nearly 8 years now. I have learned when he opens his mouth I need to shut my ears. Everybody wants to blame Clinton for these conditions our country faces. He hasn't been in the driver's seat for nearly 8 years.
GW got the EMERGENCY BAILOUT done in weeks. Over this time he could have brought in the reins on our financial system. His problem in Iraq is he can't admit he was wrong, and his vengeance for his daddy.
Where's the oil to pay for the war? When we finally leave Iraq. There will be nothing, but tribal fighting. Until another gangster like Saddam takes over in the same ways. It is what they understand. It is their way.
D.C. is so corrupt it's disgusting, and it comes from both sides. We need to put corrupt politicians in Guantanamo. Give them some water boarding, and no trials. They are doing us as much harm as the terrorist......abrieojos

I always heard Powell was a closet liberal.Now i know those rumors to be true.
About Nobamas comment about not weaponizing space:It makes even less sense than if Roosevelt in the late 30's said:I will not weaponize the skies!
Guantanamo:The more trash that goes into this camp-the safer we are.The more dead Muslims the better.

A couple of my friends are Muslim. They don't like terrorists either. But, like any American, they should not have to put up with their fellow citizens wishing them dead. You really don't deserve this country.
And we signed a treaty saying that we would not weaponise space; we signed nothing saying that we would not weaponise the skies. So I'm guessing that you are the type that people cannot do a handshake deal with. That lack of personal honour that is becoming more prevalent in another reason why this country is going down the tubes.
