the salvation army isn't quite correct.
"W. Todd Bassett, National Commander of the Salvation Army, was paid (along with his wife, who also works for the organization) $94,091 in salary and benefits in 2003 (including house and car). (Source: Fayetteville Observer)"
and I wonder what his house and car looks like.

Salvation Army rocks. Plus you can use the experience of giving to teach your kids. I despise the UW. I am sure they do good... but we have all heard the TRUE stories.

I used to give to the Red Cross, since the Jena 6 fiasco, I wouldn't pi$$ on them if they were on fire........They set up aid stations with water and medicine staffed with medical personel for the marchers, they spent tons of money for this, yet when non-profit groups have asked for similar sevices for charitable things, they were turned down, stating they had no money in their budget for them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Red Cross sucks BIGTIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That ain't much, especially if that number is including a house and car.
I'm still okay with the SA.

$94K for two salaries, one house, and one car. Hmm.
$1K/mo rent = $12K. Car worth - ? - $8K/yr.
$20K out of $94K; leaves $74K. Divided by 2 people makes $37K each. For running a $2++BILLION / year budget operation.
Yeah, that's more than $12K. While I doubt it to be correct, I sincerely hope the house is awesome and the car a Cadillac.
