We're watching you miss Sarah..
I liked her from the start, still like her and we'll just see how it goes.....
FOX..
Sarah...
"Let us resolve not to become the negative party, too eager to find fault or unwilling to help in this time of crisis and war," she told the gathering Thursday. "Losing an election does not have to mean losing our way, and for governors, the way forward leads through our own state capitals in reforms we will carry on or begin anew."

She's a looker no doubt! Of course she needs no experience to be elected. We have seen proof of that.

Just Wait, she will do fine as long as the Libs. don't create some nefarious situation that paints her in a bad light.
I think she is vary smart and has the ability to navigate the political hits from the left. She also has a honest, straight forward approach to help reorganize and energize the GOP in the future. Hopefully she will force the GOP to dump some of they're old ideas and few of the cheats, liers and old politicians that let the party fall off the cliff.
WE need politicians that actually want to work for us, and make our country strong, safe and increase wealth for all the folks that want to work too.
Why not have a hot looking President?

Hey, Bill.....
...did you see the report this morning that the source for the "Sarah Palin thinks Africa is a country not a continent" story (a Martin E-----------[?]) was a fictitious character? The press is so buggered and cretinous, it is beyond belief. I just finished reading a biography of Eric Blair----aka George Orwell--and, by Jaysuss, it's all there, written in the 30's and 40's! Newspeak, the Big Lie, etc. The only people at fault for all this---outside of the Pinko Press--- the Sheeple themselves. If they don't have enuff basic knowledge to see through the idiotic devices and slant of the press and the lies of the politicos, then we are going to have an endless array of Populist Poltroons.
Prime example is the poor fool (some Obamista woman) who felt that Obama's election meant she was going to have her rent paid and free gas for her car (or some such drivel). Gawd save the Republic. Speaking ofeloquent symbolism---have you seen the ad on TV which starts out with some 30's crooner singing "I don't want to set the World on fire..." and then switches to some scabrous nuclear disaster VIDEO GAME? Looks even worse than "Grand Theft Auto IV". Where the fork are we headed?

Palin was clueless. She needs to spend some time boning up on her history, geography, and political skills.
Had McCain picked a different VP, he'd be getting ready for the WH about now.

MSNBC and D. Shuster in particular, regard verification as 'no big deal'. Shuster once berated a congresswoman for not contacting the parents of a KIA iraq solder from her district, when in fact, he was 'not' from her district.

It's the same old.....
Perry, Good Man! (I leave it to youse compootah literates to bail me out).
The "same old" in this case refers to the old poliltico joke-line: "...and of course I shall decline any mention of my opponent's tendency to consort with young boys...".
The Pinko Press will drop a bomb (rarely on a liberal, unless forced to do so by runaway rumors) and then "clarify it" after everyone's absorbed its "truth" and shifted their attention elsewhere. Sorta the spoken/broadcast equivalent of the infamous "small print" on a contract, eh? Ar-ar-ar.
I believe there is a sufficient amount of vestigial chivalry (at least among conservatives) that most of the perfidious media's slander and libel simply reinforces our resolve. Pick on Palin at your own risk.
If liberals are accomplished at anything it is a steadfast determination to ignore (or over-ride) human nature. First it's legislated, then it's "mandatory", then it's enforced----and then it's lethal. e.g. socialism-to-communism!
Beware the Utopians, they'll kill us all!
Semper nuke-a-liberal!

So Freddie,
What happened to the real Conservatives? Not the ones that have been screwing up this country for the last 8 years. And where are the real Libs? Not the ones that screwed up this country 16 years ago and might be about to screw it up again.
Most people seem to be either a Neo con/lib these days - neither one of which is good for this country.

Well.....
....'way back when GHW Bush was elected 41st President, I said to my friends (but not on this site): "There goes everything that Reagan worked for". It boils down to this (IMHO): the REAL conservatives were like "Ham" (Hamilton) Fish. A great footballer, a great Harvard Man and one of the greatest New Yorkers EVER!
Ham didn't approve of "Progressive" Republicans (like TR), but what was Abe Lincoln, after all? Fish was a "new" Republican. One of the true founders of that ideal established by Goldwater and Reagan, post FDR and WW II. Fish absolutely LOATHED FDR and the Stalinist lickspittles around him. With great justification, in my book!
Following his lead, I am a staunch advocate of small Fed (and state) government*, minimal taxation (how 'bout a 10% flat tax---PERIOD?!) and the 10th Amendment (THAT oughta take care of the fetus-huggers!). I want the government to leave me alone. I wonder if liberals of ANY stripe and/or era can remember what 1776 was all about! I also wonder if they'd be willing to cite exactly what country socialism has ever saved or allowed to prosper!
Like many of the Founding Fathers, I am also a confirmed atheist (any anthropology major has GOT to be---or they didn't do too well in their social anthro distribution courses, ar-ar-ar! BA/BS in archaeology, here.
As far as I'm concerned, Bush 43 was a disaster, as was his wimpish Dad. They're "Rockerfeller Republicans" (just like that RINO McCain) who were also known as "me too" Repubs. They take their philosophical lead from Dumbocrats and just can't "get" the ideas to which I alluded above. They hated Newt and they fear Sarah (with great justification). It's probably "realignment time". "W" also let AIPAC, et al highjack our foreign policy (goes all the way back to IKe, really). Bad idea. Makes the A-rabs despise us, eh?
So-o-o-o, where are the real, true conservaties? Right here, young fella. And the real, true liberals? Moscow and American college campusses. Ar-ar-oooooogah!
*Remember Jefferson's "That government which governs least, governs best."?
So, where is the US headed? (See my comments on other threads, re the TV ads for those despicable video games). Whatever happened to the famous "Ask NOT..." mentality?
If anyone thinks that Osama-bama is going to initiate REAL "change" (other than tired, old tried and false socialism)----let's just say that there're three (count 'em THREE) bridges over the good Olde Cappe Codde Canal----you can have 'em all for the price of one!
That work for ya?
Chow(dah),

Freddie,
Works great for me...
There is a huge difference between the classical Libs and the socialist Neo libs, though. Probably about as big a difference as between the Neo Cons and the classical (or paleo) Cons. Unfortunately, the neos of both groups have taken hold of both parties and have really made a mess of things.

Sure did. All you had to do was watch her speaking on TV. The rest is history. I bet McCain is regretting his decision now. I know I am.
And Fred was quite right. The media loves to report crap, then 2-3 weeks later, do a retraction in some off-the-wall statement that nobody really pays attention to. Sheesh! Cheney became a master of this technique over the last 8 years.
