Zogby Poll: Almost No Obama Voters Ace Election Test
Released: November 18, 2008
Zogby Poll: Almost No Obama Voters Ace Election Test
Survey finds most Obama voters remembered negative coverage of McCain/Palin statements but struggled to correctly answer questions about coverage associated with Obama/Biden
UTICA, New York -- Just 2% of voters who supported Barack Obama on Election Day obtained perfect or near-perfect scores on a post election test which gauged their knowledge of statements and scandals associated with the presidential tickets during the campaign, a new Zogby International telephone poll shows.
Zogby Statement on Ziegler poll
Only 54% of Obama voters were able to answer at least half or more of the questions correctly.
The 12-question, multiple-choice survey found questions regarding statements linked to Republican presidential candidate John McCain and his vice-presidential running-mate Sarah Palin were far more likely to be answered correctly by Obama voters than questions about statements associated with Obama and Vice-President–Elect Joe Biden. The telephone survey of 512 Obama voters nationwide was conducted Nov. 13-15, 2008, and carries a margin of error of +/- 4.4 percentage points. The survey was commissioned by John Ziegler, author of The Death of Free Speech, producer of the recently released film "Blocking the Path to 9/11" and producer of the upcoming documentary film, Media Malpractice... http://www.howobamagotelected.com/

I watched this video today, it made me physically sick. These “idiots” didn’t know who Pelosi is, what party is in power in Congress but they identified every dumb statement with Sarah Palin.
When the buyer’s remorse sets in, and his voters start realizing “They ain’t gettin’ no Free Sh.. Stuff”, and will in fact be PAYING for Democrat corruption, things could get violent.

Well after watching the video clip, I have to conclude that we have a very uninformed electorit, and in saying that I would have to blame the media in general, after the news became depended on its ratings, they have failed to give the public real news, what we get now is tabloid journalism. I voted for Obama, And I could have answered every one of those question correctly.
I would predict that if the questions were slanted in the other direction and given to McCain supporters you would come up with the same level of incompetence!
That said if you are going to continue crying about the election, you need to direct your discontent where it belongs, in your party! they have had control of the executive branch more the 80% of the time and were in control of congress and the senate for 12 years prior to 06 they are great at winning elections but they have no idea how to govern, and all they could think about was how to divide the country. The people grew tired of that and went in a new direction, but don't blame the democrats for your failed policy's s if they would have done a better job, they would still be in power.

Reminds me of Alexander Hamilton's reply to....
....someone (maybe even Jefferson himse'f) extolling the "wisdom" of the yoeman public. He said: "The PUBLIC?!! Sir, your public IS AN ASS!!"
Judging from some of the responses on the above clip, I'd say old Alex wasn't far off. Some fed-up citizens around Bahstin---in response to more evidence of the moronic electorate (and NOT in reference to the soon-to-be-regretted results of a week or so ago)---said that the vote should be restricted to property owners.
De Toqueville ("Democracy in America") said (or repeated) the old saw that "democracies get exactly the government they deserve".
I don't believe the media should get too much of the blame for the colossal ignorance of the Amurricun voter----nor should pub(l)ic edgy-kay-shun.....SO much of it is genetics. Let's give the parents and their parenting their due! Heavens!
Ar-ar-ar-oooooogle
Don't breed 'em if you can't feed 'em!

A few things that you state are true, cobrabill, but the fact remains that in the past America and Americans have looked to the media for fair and balanced information with biased information only on the editorial pages - that's no longer the case. Positive stories about Democrats and all negative stories about Republicans took over the MSM this past 1-2 years. It's really very troubling and I would be just as saddened if the Democrats were not being treated fairly.

Is there a complementary poll of Republicans to compare results? Are Republicans similarly un-informed or biased?

CdC,
The media publishes what it thinks will sell. Six years ago the thing that sold well was making the case for going in to Iraq. Ask the guy on the street why we invaded Iraq and a lot of them will tell you that it was because Hussein was involved with 9/11, or because he would not let the inspectors in, or a variety of other reasons. Very little hard questions were asked before going in to Iraq - mostly because most Americans wanted to kick some ass, and didn't really care whose.
Most Americans don't want the truth, especially if it challenges what they think - they want to be reassured that they are right. And the MSM, because it is a business, will provide that service for as long as it is profitable.
Steve

NICE! your party has been in power for the most part for 30 years and where are we today? And your rant about killing the unborn, is ludicrous, no one wants abortion, but no one has the right to force a women to be an incubator for religious reasons, it's all about the right to birth, once your born you're on your own! who will be there to help that women you forced to give birth? or the child?
NO ONE! we have too many unwanted children and an over populated world,
we have already passed the point that the planet can sustain the population that exist.
And who knows, maybe that baby that was forced into the world just might become a LIBERAL Ha! Oh and let's not forget about the rights that will be stomped on, what the hell rock did you just climb out from under, have you not been paying any attention to what the Bushista's have been up to over the last 8 years?

Cobrabill you are dead wrong about no one wanting abortion! Obama even makes the pro choice people nervous with how far to the left he is. He helped kill legislation in Illinois that would have provided comfort care (consisting of wrapping in a blanket to allow them to die with dignity) to a failed abortion. There have been babies born ALIVE after a botched partial birth abortion in his home state of Illinois that were THROWN IN THE TRASH CAN and he voted against even cleaning them up and wrapping them in a blanket to give them a proper funeral. Don't tell me there arent people that want abortion. The scary part is that he has been elected President!

Don't be a rapscallion, Bill's words are to be used with that the purpose, you huge pettifogger. Even ninnyhammers know that to be true. Not that you are necessarily a ninnyhammer - I report, members decide.

OK so why are we for the death penalty, or for starting un-justified wars and killing 100 of thousands of innocent people? if life was so precious none of this would ever happen. Like I said it's the right to birth, after that you are on your own!

In what "un-justified" war did we kill "100 of thousands of innocent people"?
I served in combat in the Army during the first Gulf war, and I can tell you that the vast majority of enemy killed were combatants. War is brutal, but nobody takes as much precaution to avoid colateral damage as we do.
As far as justification for the current war in Iraq you have to look no further than the 17 violations of the cease fire from the first Gulf War. You may not agree with the reason that was given for going back, but we could have attacked Iraq after the first violation and been justified.
