How can it be 62 at the end of Dec.?
Other than the entire world around me is soaking wet, it is 62 degrees outside and every-once-in-a-while it thunders.
I got Uwe's crate all but covered. The anvil on my air nailer broke.
So, I will be looking for a new part or nailer.
What are you all doing in this out-of-season weather???

It's about +17F here. I think it hit about 20 earlier. Spent most of the afternoon moving snow again, but at least it's not quite as cold, Global Warming be d@mned. I worked in a sweatshirt and bib overalls and worked up a sweat today.
We have a record, 29", snowfall for December. No place left to put it already. Figures, Murphy's Law, ...just bought and parked a 30 foot camper beside the driveway. It's usually just cold & dry around here until February-March. I wonder what the rest of the winter will bring.
It will already have to melt until until June to find whatever is left (snowblown) of my wifes Smart Key transmitter. I could have hired the driveway cleared all year and next for the same price and saved my back. Curses.

Wes,
The weather is weird all over. We should be having a lot of rain and all we get is cold and an occasional few hours of sprinkles mixed with a little snow. Not cold as bad as you have but enough that the plumbers are very busy replacing frozen and busted water lines. I did see they have finally closed the road through Lassen Park to the public so they must have a little snow up there. Right now is is just sprinkling here and will most likely stop when it gets around 7 AM as that is when it always seems to stop.
Sorry about the $300 Smart Key, but I am still laughing abut it. How did you manage to get it in the path of the snow blower in the first place?

I lost the key by putting in the pocket of a Corvette windbreaker that I don't normally ever use. I carefully zipped it in for safe-keeping. Apparently the confounded jacket had a hole from the factory, although it was hard to find even when I looked for it.
Because of the camper, I had to re-blow the snow, into a headwind of course, another 50 feet down the driveway, to pile it on the front yard and boulevard. The whole process creates so much constant snow flurry, I look like a snowman when done and can hardly see what I'm doing. So far, found pieces in two piles, semi-confirming to my distraught wife that no one will be likely stealing her car.
Oh well. On the upside, the grandkids are here and the hill at the end of the block is looking mighty good. We still have some old fashioned runner sleds and a toboggan out in the storage shed.

Wes,
Has your wife considered having you sleep in her car to guard it ?
Just in case.

Well, she hasn't actually said it so far. She has been leaving it locked in the garage and driving my old work car though.
She warned me a thousand times not to lose that key before this happened. I can just imagine.

The Corvette Wind Breaker is the problem. By not using it you never knew about the small hole in the pocket. As for the snow, at least the kids can have some fun on the sleds. Maybe your weather will get better soon and the cold will move to Texas.

Fred,
Today it is raining here just enough to make everything wet and muddy and not enough to help any. I am sure the Goddess is saving all of the water for snow to send to Warren and Tru. I wish it would either rain or clear up. Temperature is in the upper 40s so it isn't cold if this wet would stop.
