That the human race will somehow reach a higher level of knowledge (equal to the aliens who happen to be our watchers and/or caretakers) and will reinvade us. 
Although, I do believe there's some myth about frogs and turtles in there somewhere too... |

the sun will be aligned, at the winter solstice, with the centre of our galaxy. It is an event which only happens every 25,800 years, making it the first time in recorded history it has happened.
