Anybody here own a BMW X5?

I am thinking of getting one with the big engine. I drove a couple over the weekend and was really impressed.

They are damn nice...looked at them as well. Compares nicely with an FX45 and the RR Sport (Supercharged), although the latter one has an interior which is muy goodo.

Long ago I owned a 530I. Maintenance and part costs were out of sight in my opinion. Have a friend who owns a M3, and listening to him, it has not changed.

Wife had a FX35 and then a QX56. Both were nice cars, and I'm waiting for the new QX to come out before I decide between another FX or QX. She currently has a Jeep SRT-8 which is a POS. Be glad when it's gone.

The X5s are very nice. The only downside is that they are not that big inside (i.e., limited capacity behind the rear seats). If that's not a problem for you, it's hard to go wrong.

What happened to all the complaining about business, or are you scaling back from something like this?
