Razor,
Limited government IS touted by Liberals - the Classical kind. They are not the ones currently running/ruining the DNC.
Limited government is also touted by Conservatives - Classical or Paleo. They are not the ones currently running/ruining the GOP, but a lot of them think they still are.
The Neo Cons and the Neo Libs are really the ones ruining this country. Classical Libs (Jefferson) and Classical Cons (Hamilton) have a LOT more in common than either group has with the Neo types.

Hmmm.....so just how are the Neo Cons actually running this country at this time?
All your posts should come with some sort of warning to the public in general....

Where did I say that the Neo Cons are running the country at this time?
And that warning should be "Make sure you can read".

You got me on that one - but, once again "How are the Neo Cons ruining the country at this time?"
Still - your posts should carry a warning to the general public, they border on insanity. Not that there is necessarily anything wrong with being insane - it's just that people should know you like we all know you - it's just good risk management.

Well, in the 8 years of Bushs' administration (6 of them with a GOP Congress) they managed to:
1. Almost double national debt from $6T to $10T.
and
2. Increase spending by around 30% (and thats just from 2001 to 2004). That is the largest rate since Nixon (though Carter was only a couple of % lower)!
Reagan also managed to increase the debt more than all the Presidents before him combined!
While the Dems are the tax and spend party, the GOP is the borrow and spend party. Neither is good for us.

I left the Republican party a few years ago, but I will still take most Republicans over the socialist Democrats we have running the country now. Lucky for us conservatives Obama seems to be self destructing.

Classical Libs? Maybe in some political science text book, but I can't remember anyone running for political office

Many of them tend to be Libertarians now because of the high level of disgust for the DNC, though the misadventures of Bush (and subsequent cow-eyed 'staying the course' of the entire Republican party) may have caused a lot of them to vote DNC just to get rid of the GOP.

I have to agree with VRM and others who cant stand the GOP OR the Dems...I think they are all in this together. The fact that a third-party cant even get a sniff from the people shows just how bad the situation is.
