Default question for skype users

Hi all you skype users. I'm trying to hook-up to skypes but have a question I hope someone can answer.
I'd like to find an adapter so I can use my cordless/speakerphone as my communication device - it's a common Panasonic cordless phone system.
All of the adapter boxes I seem to find on the internet are for 32 bit systems and my computer is a 64bit Vista system.
Anybody know of 64 bit capable box?????
Look forward to any leads.
Thanks
Greg

Well, Vista is no longer supported by MS, you might want to look at Win7.

What is the purpose of using Skype if you are using a cordless phone, we use it for the video.

Can't you just use the speaker output and feed that to an input?

I am not understanding your application. Perhaps if you could give a few more details?

Tru,

I don't know about his Vista 64 bit working with Skype. I believe the one to talk to would be CW as I think he did a bunch of testing on it at one time but I am not saying this for sure. Anyway he would know more about it than any of us.

Also I was reading in my PC World where Windows 7 is going to ship in six (6) versions for crying out loud. I need to read more before I could guess at what the reason is, but I would almost bet there will be one version that is geared towards games.

Ron

Hi all. Thanks for the responses. The 64 bit Vista issue isn't with Skypes. The Skypes software works fine if I want to use a headset/mic for communication.
I wanted to use my Panasonic cordless/speakerphone set instead of a headset/mic so we could phone/answer from anywhere in the house or use the speakerphone feature. A number of companies offer a box that hooks in between the phone and the computer, but couldn't find a product that supported 64 bit Vista.
But finally found one from a company called Zoom in Boston and ordered it through Amamzon. Should arrive this week.
I'll give it a try.
Thanks again for your response.
