Mother's Day
Don't forget to visit or wish your Mother's a Happy Mother's Day. I just wish mine was still with me so I could do the same.
In the meanwhile all of you have a safe and happy holiday.
Ron

First thing I did this morning was to call my mom. She will be 91 in September, so I know my days to talk to her are running short.

I wish I could call my mom where she is... I had intended to make my wife's mothers day top notch today but that was stonewalled by a call from my niece that my wife's sister died this morning. Only 54 years old.

Darn Mustang,
I am sorry to hear that and you and your family will certainly be in my prayers. Take care and help her through this.

Thanks Ron.. It's so hard sometimes. All of our family is in Mass and we are here in California so we don't see them very often. I am grateful we saw my wife's sister the last time we were back there. Even if it was to bury my mom.

You can still wish them a "HAPPY MOTHERS DAY", just not in person.

I spent 4 months of Sundays remodeling the house a tenant trashed. Finally I took a Sunday off to be on the boat. Then I took three Sundays to build a set of headers for a 64 Dodge 880 with a 426 Wedge.
Yesterday I drove an hour, and a half down to Daytona to see Mom. It was great to see her smile, and give her a big squeeze. Sometimes TIME itself is so precious. .....i2f

...
Thanks Ron and hello all. I called Mom on Sunday right after I first opened this, lest it get too late.
She's in her late 80's now, but still sharp as a tack. Or so it seems as my own mind slips.
She still drives (better than she walks) and took the time to, once again, pat me on the back for repainting the roof on her car. When one is a woman her age, vanity and modesty are perhaps everything, and she can't possibly be seen with peeled paint. Besides, I'm sure there are those bragging rights about "fine sons", when she offers rides to her envious contemporaries. I hope she quits driving on her own, when the time comes. Should have offered her a racing stripe.
Wes
