11 kids.Anal-rententive Catholic.Was called an "idolatrist"(sp) by a priest friend of ours.My wife was accepted at nursing school.But her mother shipped her back to Michigan for 18 months to take care of HER terminally ill mother.
She ran a burn unit at the local hospital for 30 years.She was fired for stealing drugs to treat her husbands terminal condition.All she had to do was ask any doctor and he/she would have just wriiten her a script.
Burn unit managers have COMPLETE autonomy in the unit-even over doctors.
Most recent stunt:Had her DL yanked for failing the mandatory road test.She drove anyways.Got bagged for running a stop-sign.She told the cop:"But there wasn't anyone else there".She was serious.Still drives to church because"God,won't let anything happen to me on the way to church".
I wish i could make this stuff up.

Bill,
Is it narcissism, or does she think that she follows religious rules and does not have to deal with manmade laws? I dated someone with a mum like that - I got out of that very quickly - especially as the daughter was starting to develop similar tendencies. They were also Catholic.

Steve-it's way beyond narcissism.Andit's not about manmade vs Religous rules.It's HER rules,loosely guided by religion.
She gave one of her own sons bad medical advice and he wound up in a coma.SHE pulled the plug with-in TWO-WEEKS.Then had the balls to tell us that the plug shouldn't have been pulled on Terry Shiavo because there was still a chance.......
The stories i have....
Thankfully,my wife is a down to earth Cowgirl with none of her mothers "inclinations".

It still tears her up to this day.Especially when i'm told i look like him.
Her mother is one of those people(females) that never should have had kids and will make the world a nicer place upon her passing.My wifes father passed before i met my wife.By ALL accounts(except the mothers)he is a man i would be proud to know.
He busted his a$$ his whole life for her(the mother)Numerous properties all paid for including building a 1 milllion + dollar home in Rocky Point(Mexico)while she banked all her income during their time together.A year or so ago,she made the comment that now since he gone,she could be her "own woman".Why didn't she just go to the cemetary and take a big steaming dump on his grave?I was LIVID.My wife was smokin' also.She had to pull me out the door before i went nuclear.
