Default 540,000 miles and still going

You just gotta love it.
GM and Chrysler would probably be in a better place right now if they 'd had more success stories like this !!

Cool story.

Your right GM could learn a thing or two from this story.

Great link, True007. Thanks.

Mother still drives at 86 but not miles like that. And her self defense would be running opponents over and save the cost of bullets.

Hard to believe an automatic tranny would go that long, but maybe. Our crew hauling contractor normally runs their Suburbans about 450K before selling them. Once in a while they have to replace a tranny or diff, but never a motor. The motors still sound good, actually. Mostly highway miles.

Humm, maybe you missed this: http://wcco.com/local/million.miles.truck.2.651861.html

Even back in this era (60's~70's), nothing touched the Olds Rocket engine for durability.

My 1965 Caliente only has around 189,000 miles on it, but I had to have the motor gone through at 150K because this junk they call gas had eaten the valve seals out. The transmission and rest of the motor was still almost like new. I do need the linkage fixed but it goes down through the steering column and I won't be around long enough to worry about it. That is my favorite car and used to get great gas mileage until they screwed the gas up.

Default 540000 miles and still going

i bought mine at 110,000. It now has 116,000.

Ive boughten some great cars that have been over 100,000 miles

My boyfriend bought his dd civic with 165,000. It seriously runs like new.

The only cars I would buy with 150,000 would be a honda or BMW.
