Btw, guy got the title yesterday, so it only took 16 days to travel 500 miles. But, that's how the Gov't works! Good luck to GM!

Steve,
That would require work and more time in the government. Besides why work for a broke agency. (Hope I didn't offend any Postal Workers.) Waiting on Donna to give me a few dates that will work.

I would buy a new Mustang GT in a heat beat but I have to admit that I would pass on that blue colour. It just doesn't do anything for the car. But hey, that is just my opinion.

I was reading in car and driver or road & track or one of those. They tested the '10 GT, SS, and challenger R/T. While the mustang had the least power and the only with a 5speed vs 6 speed, it won overall. Pretty good article. If you are asking yourself why they chose the r/t over the srt. They were using cars with like prices. The SRT was almost 10k more than the GT or the SS so it was out. I was suprised at hte weight of the challenger. It was by far the heaviest at almost 4200lbs. And people were complaining about the mustang being bulky!
Wayne, I'll let it slide this time... What would be your color of choice?

I have seen a total of 2 Camaro's on the road, and less than 10 Challengers. Wrong place, wrong time all over again. A neighbor ordered an SS in mid-April...and is still being told 'soon' by his dealer?!?

I had a red 1997 Mustang Cobra which I really liked but I had to sell it when I got my Cobra replica.
I am out of town on business and I just picked up a "radar" red 2010 Mustang GT from National Car Rental. It runs very well and sure has lots of buttons for the sound system, satellite radio, Sync system (whatever that is) etc. I didn't have a chance to give it a real run yet but I will tomorrow. It was getting about 20 mpg in the city this afternoon but I wasn't pushing it at all. I have a couple of hundred miles to drive tomorrow so I will get to see how it goes on the highway.
I like both of the reds (metallic and non-metallic)and my wife likes the silver. It looks like we may get a silver one.

The Sync is voice activated music and cell phone, so you can do everything hands free.

This car runs very well. It would not take very long to burn off a set of tires if the traction control is switched off. The excelleration seems to be fairly strong but wheel spin is excessive without the traction control. I almost had the chance to run a new Challenger R/T but all we could do was to boot it from 20 mph up to 40 or 50. The GT stuck right with the Challenger but it is impossible to say which car is quicker. The A/T shifted very crisply with a WOT but very smoothly in stop-and-go traffic.
By the way, it got 25.5 mpg at 70 on the highway according to the computer. I will know better when I fill it up tomorrow before giving it back to National.
Overall, I have a very positive impression of the car. Now to convince my wife that a red one is what we want.

Never thought of that one.
I called home last night and told her what I was driving. She laughed and said something like "we're in trouble now".

Wayne,
That sounds like it was a nice car to drive and the mileage wasn't all that bad either. Do you know which engine it had in it?
