Annual Jamo Event ??
For 30 years, the town has played host to an affair dubbed "Moon Over Amtrak." Crowds line Camino Capistrano, a road that runs along the railroad tracks, and pass the day dropping their trousers every time a train rolls by. Some regulars compare it to Mardi Gras, others to Woodstock. Moon Amtrak once was so small the bar whose patrons thought it up gave free beer to everyone who took part. Last year, between 8,000 and 10,000 people showed up.

Do you honestly think I didn't?

Who do you think the guy in the bar that started all of that was? His avatar was taken from a passsing train window and he had to add the censored sign.

No.
From your avatar,it seems to me you practise year round for this event.
I kinda figured you were behind it and were usually there at the crack of dawn.
I was wondering if this guy was you though ...." In 1979, according to city lore, a saloon patron offered to buy a drink for anyone who would moon the next train. He did -- for one guy -- and the annual rite was born."

Fred...I was just one of many. There were wimmin too...some had damn nice butts.
What happened was Laguna Niguel grew up, and once barren hillsides are now covered with homes which look out over the stretch of road where the mooning takes place. Used to be somewhat rural...with the road connecting El Toro and San Juan Capistrano.

California town hopes ordinances will tone down "mooning" event
Print article E-mail article to a friend
Published: Tuesday, July 07, 2009
LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. - City fathers are hoping a series of ordinances they've pushed through will result in a smaller, quieter "mooning of Amtrak day" this Saturday, the Orange County (Calif.) Register has reported. The informal annual event drew 9,000 people last year, who bared their bottoms at passing Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains.
The city passed ordinances prohibiting public drinking, urination, and defecation in town, and has retained a public relations firm at a cost of $17,500 to try to dissuade potential mooners. Additional parking laws also aim to make it harder for revelers to visit the event.
Mayor Robert Ming said public safety is his main concern. "Having 10,000 people on a dead-end street is not a smart move, especially after they've been drinking all day," he said.
