Default Nice video of a GS Corvette vs Cobra

I don't know what is better, drooling over Sabine Schmitz or the cars

It's a repost, but it's still better than all of the Obama crap.

Thanks

I've never seen escutcheon plates around the sidepipe exit before. Nice detail.

The pinnacle of shifter fondling.

Nice lines on that Cobra, and it seems to handle pretty well too. Check out the other video of it going up against the Porsche. Any translators out there? I'm curious to know what brand of replica that is. I thought it might be a Dax, the lines and dashboard look right but the hood and roll bar are different. Anyone have any idea?

Did someone post something about Obama's crap? Is someone auctioning it off on Ebay? Is there any analysis of it's makeup? America needs to know about Obama's crap! Is there a link?

Was it on Fox or MSNBC?

Buzz,

Which Porsche/Cobra video? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMhHMz--ARk or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2CFUW548b4 perhaps?

My father could speak some, and understand quite a bit of German. But I can't understand much. Still we have many folks here in ND that still have an accent like Arnold Schwarzenegger/Lawrence Welk. One Of Lawrence's nephews once worked for me ...it's a small state. Some guys my age and a bit younger, still spoke German exclusively pre-school at home in the '50's-'60's.

From the youtube side info panel:

English (sort of)
Episode 56 - the Mongoose, in english: Manguste, is in the free nature of the only natural enemy of the Cobra. The same goes for the Corvette Grand Sport with the name "Mongoose, which in the challenge of its direct her from the 1960s applies: the CN Cobra. Both Duellanten take effect V8 and have previously heiße Rennschlachten on american slopes. The D Motor-challenge, the legendary Duellx revived!

Dang! I was hoping it was vintage footage of a GS and Cobra at Sebring or something...

Sabine made it all worthwhile, though. Didn't I see her on Top Gear when they were racing busses?

Danke Wes.

Steve, she is the gal who destroyed Clarkson's Nurburbring lap time by some 47 seconds (I think) in a Jag on her first Top Gear appearance. After he posted his best lap, she scoffed that she could match that time in a van. Sure enough, she was back in another episode doing hot laps in a van and actually came within a few seconds of Clarkson's Jaguar effort.

And yes - she did also feature in some sort of "Top Gear vs. Germany" team fracas in which one of the events was a double decker bus race.

Hmmm! Turns out that the CN Cobra actually is based on the Dax replica - I thought I recognized those beautiful lines!

I notice Dax no longer calls their Cobra "Tojeiro" after John Tojeiro - the man who designed the original AC Ace. He worked with them I think until his death in 2005 and lent his name to their product. At one time, they even touted it as the natural evolution of his original design.

What catches my eye (besides Sabine) are the polished fender spats. I want a set for my car and the narrow-hip fenders on that replica look like a pretty close match to the lipless fenders on my early Unique.

FYI the Mongoose guys will have all their toys at Run N Gun this year and I understand Gary with Mongoose has hired a pro driver from Canada to drive their GTM and probably Aaron Quine will be driving the Corvette. I have been told Mongoose will be bringing more than 2 or 3 of the Cars this year including some of their customers and their cars. This could be fun if Scott Johnston (Chevy Cobra), Steve Clements (427+ Kirkham), Jeff Schwartz (Ultima) and Tony Martin with Backdraft all get together at the same time to "PLAY"!
