I believe that one of the places did sell some sockets with the no mar nylon inner linings at one time but I don't think they stood up well if you had a tight bolt. It seems to me that Sears even has some here at one time that I looked at.

HMMM! this is a good one...

Clean cottom underware is always good to polish things and not scratch the surfaces. In addition, the proper fitting tool can grasp nuts and avoid slippage and maring the surface while tweaking. You can use almost any type of cleaner during maintenance procedures but be careful that what you use doesn't irratate the finish, burning and causing problems.
Now, just good old fashion elbow grease work everytime, you will be happy with the outcome if you take the time to do it right.

How do I keep 'em glistening? Maguires Swirl Remover, Air powered Random Orbital Buffer, and a bottle of Jack Daniels Ol' Number 7.

Seriously, I use to have a flat bottom hot boat with a totally chrome everything, I sprayed W-D 40 all over the engine when I went out, especially in the ocean. After my outing I just washed the entire thing with soap an water...clean and no rust..very easy to keep clean and shinny.

I use SS as much as possible and avoid air tools.

When changing the tires, I like to use a 6 point socket with a hand wrench. Once they tighten up, I try not to scratch them when removing the socket.

Lately, I've been happy just keeping the car clean let alone shinny.
