It is so easy for us to sit back and second guess what is written in history, die sect decisions others made in their line of duty. Chaney and the boys did right for their circumstances. The WWII Japanese camps were right for the current issues at the time.

To go back and re hash is not the issue-power is the issue. I just finished reading “Rules for Radicals” again. Obama is going right from the book nothing complicated. The only reason why he will fail to change the USA to their liking is timing. They are eight years too late- they really had this all set up for when Gore was to be president and it still was not too late for Kerry, too late now. America has become smarter and even more conservative in the last eight years and we are down but not anymore complacent. Never would have had these town halls’ or this tea-party stuff eight or even four years ago- we were all still fat, dumb and happy. But not now- blood will probably be shed at this time.

A Radicals’ purpose is always changing the “status quo” that is his reason for being- He needs power to do that- he got it!, very simple (in the book). Americans are basically conservative- read the Declaration of Independence, Constitution. We really do not like change for change- we like improvement! The change being offered is far from improvement anybody can see it-therefore they will fail but before they accept failure they will get very brutal- which you can already see.

These punitive actions are simply there beginning of being brutal. If they really cared about doing the right thing- they would stop interrogation-not bring it under the control of the WH. If the wars were so bad- bring the boys home. If you really wanted everybody to have health insurance-make the insurance premiums tax deductible. Poor people already have health care. Pretty damn simple.

Thanks for allowing me to vent. I am one of those who are not so “fat, dumb and happy” anymore. I am lean, mean and pissed off!
