But she's not a guy! Who cares what her driving record is, I would rather watch an interview with her in lieu of ...say Kyl Bush.

BUt since we know Kyle Bushs' name-he must know how to win.

But since we all know Kyle Bush's name along with Jeff Gordon and other top drivers, there are still some of the men drivers that many people don't know. I don't think she would be any good in those heavy NASCAR cars, but who knows. Either way I would prefer to watch her to Kyle Bush or any other man.

I don't understand why ANYONE would want to see an interview with a mediocre/losing driver.

They have plenty of them with the unknown men drivers. But I said I like looking at her more than men. I don't care about the driving record. However since I have my doubts she will make it in NASCAR, I don't figure there will be any interviews with her. I had rather watch an interview with Kevin Harvick's wife than one with him.

They would still have many interviews with her just because of who she is.
Ray Evernham's girfriend drives in ARCA and in the Nationwide series (sometimes). They do not interview her much. But she is not as popular as Danica.

Janet Guthrie has previously mentioned, when driving in NASCAR vs Indy, " you drive the car, you don't carry it on your shoulders " Key will be to have a competitive car/crew chief and the support Team. More than likely, Danica would also attract sponsorship funding in either ARCA or Nationwide

With declining attendance at the tracks and diminishing TV viewers, which is more of a concern, NASCAR could potentially gain more visibility, which is needed.

While having won only one race, Danica finished 5th in the 2009 standings, highest on Andretti's Team of four drivers and highest of any driver outside of the Penske and Ganassi Teams. Would think that Andretti could sign many other drivers if he wanted to, but attracting the sponsorship dollars was probably a consideration, in addition to the driving capability.

Her wins really don't reflect how well she has driven. She would have won the Indy 500 a few years back but ran out of gas and I have watched other races where she would be running in the top 3 and get caught up in someone else's mess or something would break on the car. So I don't use her win record to judge how I think she would do in NASCAR. But so far none of the women that have came into NASCAR have really done any good. I think if they could get a few that could be competitive it would help their dwindling ratings.

She has a lot of horsepower,.... sponsors love her, .....men love her, ...women will support her (some will love her). She will most likely do Ok in NASCAR but may never be great like...say ah ah Jr. Johnson?

Anyway I think she's pretty hot and I want to see her in a Go-Daddy car at Daytona.

To let her get the feel of NASCAR racing they should put in another seat and let her ride with Kyle Bush for a few races. Then interview them both after the race.

" But so far none of the women that have came into NASCAR have really done any good "

Compared to the men, women in ARCA, Nationwide and Sprint Cup have probably been less than 00.001 % of all the drivers.....odds have not been in their favor, same applies to the various open wheel series.

True, but what are the percentages of women to men over the years in Drag Racing, and some of them have did very well. Quicker reactions and good teams area must, but when you get down to the end line, they still have to be able to do the job, man or woman.

GoDaddy.com will sponsor Patrick in both IndyCar and NASCAR.

If true, at least that should spice up the commercials a little. Wonder if the cars paint scheme will have the Go Daddy girls on it.

GoDaddy News Release: ( note the link at the bottom )

RUMOR NO MORE: GO DADDY PUTS THE "GO" IN DANICA PATRICK'S RACING FUTURE

Go Daddy Girl Inks 3-Yr Deal with Andretti Autosport – Unveils 2010 GoDaddy.com IndyCar

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (Nov. 30, 2009) – With all the speculation buzzing around her 100-pound physique and multi-million dollar appeal, one point about Danica Patrick’s future is clear – she intends to be a Go Daddy Girl for years to come. Danica signed a three-year deal with Andretti Autosport to remain with the world’s largest domain name registrar and Web hosting provider. This means Go Daddy is Danica’s primary IndyCar sponsor into 2012.

The deal deepens a long-standing relationship between Go Daddy and IndyCar’s Most Popular Driver.

“Danica is the quintessential Go Daddy Girl,” said Go Daddy CEO and Founder Bob Parsons, who spotted Danica’s phenomenal marketing potential well before she won her first IndyCar race. “Danica is a beautiful woman competing in a male-dominated sport. She’s passionate. She’s focused. She’s all about doing what it takes to win and we love that about her. Not to mention she’s edgy, smokin’ hot and as tough as any competitor anywhere.”

Danica originally signed with Go Daddy and Andretti’s team in late 2006 and appeared in her first Go Daddy Super Bowl commercial the next year. At that time she was well-known as the first woman ever to lead during an Indianapolis 500 race. Since that time, Danica won her first IndyCar race, as a Go Daddy Girl, in Japan, and starred as a Go Daddy Girl in the Most Watched Super Bowl commercial of 2009.

“We are very good together,” Parsons said.

Danica clearly agrees. “Bob Parsons and Go Daddy have believed in me from the start,” Danica smiled. “You know, my life long goal is to win the Indy 500 and I’d love to do that in the GoDaddy.com car.”

The 2010 GoDaddy.com No. 7 car was officially unveiled before a national television audience of an estimated five million people this morning in New York City’s Times Square. The sleek IndyCar should be easy to follow on the track next season given its bright green and orange Go Daddy design.

At Danica’s side for today’s unveiling was Andretti Autosport team owner and legendary racer Michael Andretti, who served as Danica’s race strategist last season.

Meantime, rumors about Danica’s racing future have had tongues wagging for months, but no confirmation on anything beyond IndyCar yet today.

What’s next for Danica? She plans to be on-set for the filming of this year’s Go Daddy Super Bowl commercials later this week.

Go Daddy is legendary for its Super Bowl ads, known as being GoDaddy-esque, meaning they are funny, edgy and slightly inappropriate.

When it comes to business though, Go Daddy takes itself very seriously. Go Daddy is the world’s No. 1 registrar of new domains, as well as a world leader in paid Web hosting and new SSL certificates. Go Daddy offers 50-plus products to make getting online easy and affordable – while providing industry-best 24/7 personalized customer service.

Waiting for the comments from the pundits, unless Danica finishes in the top 5 in her first race, no future in stock cars...............

While both drag racing and stock car racing require the talent, the attributes are different, almost like comparing football and baseball players.

However, in drag racing there have been full time multi year contracts with a high quality Team, example John Force's daughter, who has excelled, and has earned her expertise. The test ban in NASCAR has hindered the new drivers when they experience the 36 tracks for the first time during the initial practice session, Joey Lagano

She is hot now and she is creating her own opportunities due to her "Skills and Hotness".

I hope she does well in all things, and NASCAR is just another avenue for more "Hotness" and excitment to be added to a sometimes boring sport.
