Talk to Rick Dourghty in Iola Kansas. I don't have his number but he owns the penzoil quick lube in Iola. You can get the number from 411. He's built several cars and has two local painters who are really good and very reasonable and work on a pretty good time table.

Hey Dan,

Not sure if you're looking for a show-quality place, a really good place, or a blow & go place.

If it's show, call Jon Naaf at Custom Cars near Sabetha, KS. (West of Hiawatha on Hwy 36.) I spoke with him about my Hurricane before I decided to DIY. He was talking a minimum of $4k and up to $10k depending on the amount of work needed. He knew I wanted stripes & possibly meatballs. That was before I got my car and it was hard for him to commit without seeing the body. $4k seemed to be the starting point with whomever I spoke with for a really nice job.

Jon is one of those guys who doesn't shoot 'till things are flawless. If you want, I can have him look at my body to see if he can narrow the estimate based on mine. After all, they should look the same when delivered.

His shop # is 785 353-2221.

Tom

Default High End Paintwork

Call Shawn Unrein at Fineline Restoration. He does excellent work and has a lot of experience with Cobra's. Again, his work is top notch. 816-679-6603

Dan,

Shawn Unrein did my Hurricane, and is close to the Hurricane shop. Ask Mike Arps what he thought of mine, as he has much more experience with Cobras then I do, and saw mine first hand. I am very happy with the way it turned out! Plenty of pics in my gallery.
