8/31 Sunday Drive

On Sunday the 31st of this month - the last day of summer, we will be going to the Bird Cage Cafe in Victor. We will go by way of Deer Creek and Turkey Creek canyons to 285 thru Pine Junction, Deckers, etc to Woodland Park and west to Divide then south on #67 to Victor. After lunch - the return trip is by way of Cripple Creek ( some may want to surrender their hard earned cash) and up to the fossil beds in Florissant for another possible detour.. Am trying to find out about a tour of the mine Tom told me about as another possible diversion. Exact times and starting point will follow next week after I time things once more!!!!!!

I plan to attend if I survive the drive from Houston. Make reservatoins for 4 people, since another couple will be trainling along in a non-Cobra

We will meet on 8/31 at 8:30 AM at the Aspen Grove Shopping Center. 7300 S. Santa Fe near Starbucks. Leave for Victor at 9:00 AM

Curving our way up Deer Creek

and Turkey Creek

along the So. Platte river to Woodland Park. 24 West to Divide and then south on 67 and 81 to Victor. Lunch at the Victor hotel at 12:00 noon.
After lunch. Malts at the Corner Store.

Then a tour of Molly Kathleen Mine and/or tour of Fossit beds in Florissant.
