Am I the first Minnesotan on the Minnesota Cobra forum?

Yeah, we got some snow, not too bad where I live only about 3" of slushy stuff. It definately isn't Cobra driving weather any more.

Wow! Our own forum, isn't this cool. I guess we need to do some talking about our club name. I picked this one to start but we should come up with a new one unless everyone likes this name. I thought about Great Northern Cobra Club, Great White North Cobra Club, 10,000 lakes Cobra Club, Stinkin winter Cobra Club, I hate snow Cobra club. Let's come up with a good name. By the way we got 15" of snow last night and more coming today. I didn't even put the top up on the Cobra when I drove to work today! It looks funny with snow tires on it though. The plow went on ok. I guess we also need to plan a first meeting and discuss how we are going to operate, elect a president , etc. So any ideas on the first meeting place and time.
Welcome Greg R.

So lets see how many people we have. Everyone check in.
Don

Don - wish you the best of luck with the Minnesota Cobra Club or whatever the final name turns out to be. It will not be Cobra weather in North Texas by the end of the day - forecast is freezing rain or maybe snow.

Having our first anniversary of the club that you used to belong to.

Congrats to you all. Enjoy your club it's a great time.

How about Snow Snakes Cobra Club, or the Frozen Cobras, or the Sven and Ole Cobra Club? In all honesty though, the Minnesota Cobra Club sounds the best so far, simple and to the point.

For a first meeting place we should see where everybody is from and try to pick a place as convenient as possible.

I'm in Sauk Centre, about 1 1/2 hours NW of the cities on I-94. I kind of like the Sven and Ole club. Sure, you betcha, we could trade hotdish recipes.

If you guys want to e-mail me your name, address, and phone, I'll start a club contact list. If you know of anyone else interested in a club that's not on the web please contact them also. We should also decide if we want to include other types of replicas. I have a few customers in MN that own Sebring MX's that may also be interested. I'm sure there are other types of kits in the area also. Maybe an ad in the Star Tribune will find some people. I could also contact Kit Car or Kit Car Illustrated for a listing in the magazine.

You might want to consider adding those with an interest in the cobra, even though they do not have a car.

Some of our more active members do not own cobras just love the car and are saving to get one.

Thumbs up

Congratulations Minnesota!

Will willing participants from neighboring states be welcome to attend any of your club events? I'm slowly working on my Cobra and my wife (Linda) recently got a Corvette. We both like to autocross although we're just beginners.

I would like to have as many as possible join. Doesn't matter to me which state I just think the more people we have the better we will be. That's why I wasn't sure about the name. I thought if we have a more generic name it would attract people from other states.

I currently have 12 names on the mailing list. I know there was a few more interested in the club so please e-mail your name and address if you want to join.

I've also heard of a few more people in Fargo, ND that may be interested in joining. 2 CR's and 3 FFR. So does everyone agree to open it up to other states or keep it MN.
