Art collectors only: Original oil on Shelby to come

Wallace Alfred Wyss,the fine artist, says he will be finishing his new original oil of Shelby this month and will send a picture. He says it is similar to his portrait of Shelby at Sebring in '65

but with a different technique.
He plans to auction it off August 13th at the Mecum auction in Monterey. Those who want a snapshot of it when it's completed can send their mailing address to Photojournalistpro@hotmail.com
"I never sold originals before," he says, "but I found out after visiting some fine art shows that some people only collect originals, and don't want prints or giclees."

Ther only problem I see is that the artist is a bit flaky speaking about himself in the third person. Makes you wonder if it is not the thought of being an artist that makes him tick, or perhaps he is a bit on the mental side? What your take on WW Historybuff?

I met Mr. Wyss at a Pantera gathering in Las Vegas some years ago. He is, indeed, a bit eccentric! He is a fanatic about the Cobra and Pantera marques. A bit overpowering, but enjoyable all the same.
