Just for the record, SPF642 (10 years old) had an event this morning. The slave cylinder on the clutch "spit the bit" and dumped brake fluid all over the garage floor. I took the part to Vintage and had Brian check it out. He concurred that the part was done. I have one on order but it will not be here in time for any chance for the cruise. I will probably attend with the Focus.
Thanks to Brian for his help in finding a replacemant.
Thanks to whomever for having it "go boom" in my garage.
Thanks to NAPA for having the part in a warehaouse somewhere.
The fluid (which was new last year) looked like 5 year old motor oil. How is all of this possible with so few miles on the vehicle?
