I spend summers in Lake Placid. Regrettably, the AC stays in CA. Too bad ... lots of nice roads to explore.

Default Steak & Stinger

I work at a place in Lake Placid NY that an olympic bobsleder owned. He had a original 289 that he would drive in the snow. What a ride I still remember after almost 40 years. I am sure if he is still alive he would love to take a ride.

Red LaFountain, who used to own CSX 2120, is still very much alive, and still runs a place in Lake Placid - the Paradox Lodge. He asks me about his old car every time my wife and I go eat at his place, and then we discuss cars in general for the rest of the evening. His place is still considered the finest restaurant in LP.

Green Mountain Cobras. Across the lake. We do stray into NY from time to time. Did a fall run to Ticonderoga and Crown Point. We are having our annual planning breakfast in Middlebury, Vt this Sunday at 10:30. The restaurant is called Rosie's and is south of town on rt 7. We are just a group of people from all over VT, NH and even Montreal. Your are more than welcome to join us.
This meeting will be rain or shine. Bad weather, leave the Cobra home.
