Default Mass vehicle inspection for cobra replica

I am new to the forum but would appreciate any info you can offer. I am trying to understand the cobra replica vehicle inspection rules for Mass for 2015. I have a cobra replica built in 1997 and previously titled in Mass at that time as a 1997 (1966) cobra replica. Does anyone have any experience with the Mass DOT on this?

One of many reasons I did not move to Mass.

You might want to contact Factory Five. They were heavily involved in some of the changes that were made to the law.

ask here
Northeast Region - FFCars.com : Factory Five Racing Discussion Forum

the guys will walk you through the process. Where your car was previously registered in the state may help the process too (but knowing mass, it could hurt...you never know)

good luck

Piece of cake for me here in Mass. two years ago when I purchased ERA #677 out of Illinois. The car was already titled and registered as a 1966 Shelby Cobra in Illinois...I just transferred everything over at the Mass RMV. No one ever looked at it( state police or RMV) In fact my license plate is actually a 50 year old "year of manufacture" plate that I had lying around and the number on it wasn't in use.
