Warren,
Thanks for the info. I just finished digging through the RMV site (what a mess), as far as I can tell I do not need it for inspection. Not sure about the title process. Would be nice for someone to pipe in that has gone all the way.

At the moment I am looking at a kit. ERA (location helps), SPF and EM. That is of course unless I find a good deal on an unfinished kit. Problem is that there does not seem to be many of the quality kits, uncompleted.

Do not get me started about the RMV. Just last week I went to register a new boat and trailer. Of course got hit with the tax, as I bought in NH. Got the boat done OK, but for the trailer I need a stamp on the form from my insurance. I had the registration in hand for my car, and the RMV can surely look up that it is infact insured. Than again I am talking common sense.

Now they want you to register dirt bikes and 4-wheelers. Ya right. All mine came from NH so no way am I going to pay the tax on it. Talked to a cop friend, and he mentioned that it would take a couple of dozen tickets before you would be losing money. And no they do not hit your insurance up.

Even worse I got out of the service about 10 years ago. Came back to MA to renew my license. They said that I could not renew it because I had let it lapsed for so long. (I was in the service, and the law use to allow this, but it had changed). So I had to pay a $300 fine and then $15 to get a learners permit. I was in shock. Luckily I had an international license that was still valid (they NEVER EXPIRE). So I drove my self until I got my appointment for the drivers test. State Trooper who performed the test asked me why. Told my ordeal, and he started cursing the new law. Went out to the car, he told me to start the engine, then turn it off. That was it. All the time cursing the new law.

How upsetting it was to serve your country and come back to that S$%^. Worse yet I had to start over on the points as well. 15 of them. Roughly, with the insurance surcharges, it probably cost me about $1k total. Thanks MA.

Ok end of rant, told you not to get me started.

BTW NICE RIDE.

Chris
