No worries A-Snake - I'm not trying to pass it off as as original - just some
of the "experts" at the cruise-ins try really hard to impress their friends
with their lack of knowledge - makes for entertaining listening.
I know better than to mess with Mother Nature!

Amy Boylan President of Shelby Autos will also be at the Tasca event. She and Carroll issued a news release about the new Tasca mod shop yesterday through TimePiece PR, which is the firm I work for. It should be an interesting show with Tasca, Shelby and Force there together. I wish I could have scheduled to be there.

I got the wife to agree to let me stop to get my glove box signed on the way from NY to Cape Cod. She dropped me off and split with the kids for a while. I asked a cobra owner where Carroll was and he pointed to a line..... about 400 people deep . I knew right away I wasnt getting the signature.

While walking around I turned a corner and Whammo there he was, he just walked out of the trailer. Although I didnt get the autograph I did meet him in person and got a hello and a hand shake not to be forgotten

WTM442 - I looked for your car but couldnt find it, would have been nice to meet. I saw only 2 superformance buggy's there.

I am glad I stopped and met the man.

My son and I went to the show today. I can't believe that they didn't have the autograph table inside. For those of you who were not at the show it was about 95 degrees in the shade. Shelby was wearing a black long sleeve shirt and black pants. It would have been easy to route the autograph line into the showroom and keep these guys cool. Just my $.02 worth.

The show was great and my son and I had a great time!

[quote=CBattaglia]WTM442 - I looked for your car but couldn't find it, would have been nice to meet.QUOTE]

I had planned to attend. Spent about 4 hours cleaning the car on Thursday. Had to vacuum all the damn pine needles that fell into the car last weekend at Jeff Gagnon's cookout.
NE Chapter Cookout August 18th in NH

Set alarm for about 6 AM Sat morning, but I must have hit the sandman in my dreams. Woke up at 9:45 AM. By the time I would have got there, it would be close to noon, and everyone said the lot would be full real early.

It got to 100°F with a 74°F dew point for a heat index of 111°F around my way, so the 95°F at the show that Jay mentioned would have been cool.

So I just chilled out inside in 74°F comfort until 4 PM when I went to my high school reunion. Had a blast. So the day wasn't a total loss. Sorry I missed the show, but there is alway next year!

OK ... who is going to post some pictures?

Default We got the autograph

The glove box was sign by the one and only man that started this craziness.
We got in line at 9:50 and finally got out around 12:30. The heat was something else.
Factory Five had alot of cars there, but only one superformance, White with a titanium stripes. Warren you were missed.
There were two more superformance cars up close to the building which at first lead me to believe they were originials. #1320 which is close to my number and a red one that I could not get close to(behind the velvet ropes)
Mustangs as far as the eye could see.
We did meet the guy at Tasca, that got the original cobra ready for sale. He had some interesting stories. He said you could not give them away for six grand. They took one to pick up parts in NewYork City. He said they got there real fast but his feet were burning up.

Hey Nantucket427:
You missed one SPF. I was all the way at the end, the 29th Cobra to show up. I had some good conversations with Sean, the owner of that White SPF you mentioned. Turns out our car numbers were less than 20 apart, nice guy.
Anyway, like you said the show was pretty much a "Mustang-Lovers" dream. It was great to see they gave us Cobra guys our own class though. Nice job to all who made the trip. About 1pm I too finally made the jump to step in line for a glove box signature from the "man". Unfortunately, the heat was too much for him because by 1:30pm, he called it a day. Oh well, I had only moved about 10 feet during that half hour anyway and it was F'ing HOT!! I guess if you really want it bad enough you can send items out to him in Vegas and he'll sign and send back. You wouldn't believe what people were having hiim autograph, one dude even brought up the whole trunk of his new Shelby Mustang and had him sign just under the spoiler.
I took a bunch of cool photos, I'll try to post them in another entry tomorrow. I'm still not that good at that but I'll to my best. Later
