Question Future Events Planning

Cobra Guys: This is something I have been working on with Jeff to try to get us all together. I met some of you guys at the last Windmill breakfast (Cobra wa at home...I was driving the yellow 911) I could really use your input on this. I have gotten some fedback from the Factory Five guys...now I'd like yours.

Future Events Summary

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Remember guys...this is only a trial balloon I came up with after reviewing all your posts, ideas, etc. My thought is to continue the local breakfasts as currently scheduled:

South Shore (Dave's for now) 1st Saturday of the month (except druingthe winter).
New Hampshire (The Windmill for now) 2nd Saturday of the month.
North Shore (Skip's) 3d Saturday of the month.

These breakfasts will often be followed by one of many cruises that the group suggested. Among these but certainly not limited to:

North Shore-newburyport cruise, Southern NH cruise, Cruise with visit to Budweiser plant, cruise to Plymouth waterfront, Cruise to Newport, RI, South Shore Cruise through Middleboro to coast, Western Mass-Berkshires.

In addition to the almost weekly local events we should plan 3 or 4 Northeast Regional events during the summer. Among these are:

1. Overnight in North Conway with Kangamagus cruise (Maybe weekend after Labor Day)
2. Connecticut Saturday Cruise in "Bash and Barbecue" (I have been in touch with "Sarge")
3. Jeff's NH Barbecue (aka Two Sons) usually in August and this year including the Viper Club
(Jeff also plans many NH breakfasts and Events)
4. FFR Open House with Cruise in Honor of Craig's wife and to raise money for Breast Cancer Research
5. Cruise in to Craig's friend in NH who has a private collection and lives in an old converted gas station.

Obviously car shows, kimball's, Summer nationals and many other events will come up. But if we focus on a few regional events, hosted by that local group it would really offer an opportunity to bring these groups together into one incredible region. Dates right now are in the works. Let me know your thoughts. It is an ambitious undertaking but when I see the camaraderie that occurs at every event I have attended, this plan offers memories never to be forgotten; not to mention the exchange of ideas invaluable in building and modifying our cars. Oh yeah and one other important feature....All are invited!!! This includes current builders, FFR, Contemporaries, SPF, ERA, Everett Morrisons, Mustangs, in summary any and all Car Guys and Women. Let me know your thoughts. In the meantime, there are still some good days to be had...I know I was out yesterday for about an hour or so. Happy Motoring!

Ron
