Jimmah! Yew FUDPUCKER!!!
Remember Gloria Vanderbilt's famous edict: "You can never be too rich nor too thin.."? Looks like your dyno curves are crossing for sure. NOW who's whose hero? Huh? I was gonna send you a token of appreciation for meeting with the Cape Cod Clan during our recent visit west, BUTT....now yer an executive, it might not be appropo. T'was a compendium of mountain, western and some country classics from the 30's through the 50's. True motoring music--(bad for the throttle-foot)! You'll probably be switching to the Three Tenors now yer in the FRONT FLIPPIN' OFFICE! Lemme know---otherwise I'll send it to BO and 'Tater.
I'll be in touch---did my e-mail get through yesterday, re pix? I'm straddling two providers....with (for me) predictable results--sorta resemble a minkey trying to f%ck a football!  Sooo, do you need a New England/Northeast Dealer? Huh? Jim? Jim, you still there? We all truly believe that Jim's ARRIVED. I'd like to help your new fortune compile---BUTT I'd end up "wearing" (and wearing out) some funny little furrin' car like that here Porch! Huh?:JEKYLHYDE Best, |
Good luck, Jim!
|
Good luck Jim!
How much is a roller and how about some pictures? I was thinking about doing a Vintage with a Subaru Turbo engine and trans - called Greg at Vintage and got the distinct feeling I would be unhappy with the wait....so I blew off that idea....I am still interested in doing one though. Pat |
Club Spyder on the way????
Jim,
Congratulations on your new venture. I am envious, to say the least, of your opportunity to work on your passion. We should all be so lucky and/or courageous. All the best. Jamie |
Jim..?
Sounds like you will be having fun while possibly making some money...
Will there be the option for the rear side gills/vents, and the headrest/support type of spyder, as Thunder Ranch made/makes? If you have not seen these, they look awesome... What is the transaxle make? Can we get a 5 speed and what motors will fit? |
How about a link to a website so we can take a gander at your chassis and other important details.
|
Best of Luck!
|
G'day Jim,
Congratulations on your new venture. Wish you much luck and look forward to meeting you if and when you come downunder again. |
Your bring tears of joy to my eyes.
To Dave (my upside down Friend from Downunder) and everyone... Thank you.
I am working on all the details, so much to do, so much to do, so much to do... I'll get some new info and specs up soon. Thanks all again, you guys mean the world to me. If I haven't already, I will be sending individual replys as time allows. This is a daunting venture and knowing I have so many well wishers gives me a what for. Now order a Spyder Replica will ya. |
I have a temp site up now at http://www.jimsgems.com
Some details, one price and limited options, hey... "It's only just begun." |
Looks tempting Jim! But under the photos of "works in progress" shouldn't it be " high tensile steel " instead of "high tinsle steel"? I'm no spelling ace for sure but I thought tinsle was the shiny stuff you throw on Christmas trees. That is a nice looking car ! When are you going to do a v8 option...lol...
|
That and the "power coated" frame. Heck, if all we can pick apart is the spelling....
|
Guess we should order one then!
|
Hey, I like that "power coated" frame, got a ring of "performance" to it! lol
Ernie |
An engine possibility !
Is the Subaru 2500 CC opposed 4 cylinder..!
165 torque/HP STOCK ! With EFI and a turbo they can really punch out some upper end ponies! Apparently the Spyder in question can take this motor!! This would be one FUN little car ! http://www.cobbtuning.com/tech/dohc/ |
Yeh, Yeh...
Yeh, Yeh... so I blew the spelling thing, I'll fix it, I put the web site together last night and about 3:AM I was putting the finishing touches on it. I'll fix it, thanks for POOF reading it for me. LOL
Yes, the Subaru is a screamer! You can get the upscale version, DOHC Turbo at 300hp. That is something like 750hp in a Cobra. Or was that Dog Years? I forget. More soon..I fixed the spelling errors, Thanks for being my POOF readers. :D |
Hey Jim,
I read somewhere that somebody was putting a WRX engine into one of these spyders. Is that your Ozzie friends doing that? If it's true then that thing should really fly.:3DSMILE: Hersh:) |
