Ed, sounds like a good idea. 2 shepherds are more intimidating .... Maybe bring the ex for added ammo.

I'm surprised that the shop has not called YOU and had you come back down with the car. Word usually gets around once it's on Cobra Club.

I know there are people here that know who worked on the car and trans, and you would think these friends would call the shop and warn them of the impending doom. At least, that's what I would do if the shop owner was a personal friend of mine.

It would not help the shop's rep if the name of the shop hits Cobra Club.

Not to take a different tack, but is it possible that he overfilled the tranny and the excess oil is pushing it's way by the seal? If he saved time by adding oil on the bench and then installed it, the angle it sets in the car may cause it to overload the seal. It seems odd that 2 seals in a row should leak, unless there is a major flaw in the work.

Sounds like a phone call is in order. Ron said he had one mechanic remove it then took it to a trans builder and all they had to do was put it back in the car.
Sounds reasonable.
