Default Question of the Day

My car is running lousy. Sounds like an exhaust manifold leak and/or a bad miss. I tightened the collector bolts (some were slightly loose on drivers side). I noticed that the driver side exhaust was blowing warm air and other side was blowing hot air. Car still runs lousy. What do you think it is?

If you heard the noise, and the bolts were loose, sounds like the gasket is burned. Pull the header off and replace it.

Ron,

check your plugs, cap and rotor. make sure your wires are tight and not loose. sound like a plug not firing.

I am thinking its the distributer and/ or related issues... and will be towing it to Gary monday for repairs. It runs so bad that I dont want to risk driving it.

I was hoping it was a distributer issue... it was a broken valve spring which lead to a bent pushrod. No piston damage. As soon as I heard the unusual exhaust sound at start up, I should have shut it down...As the saying goes..."It could have been much worse." Gary said it should be fixed by friday.
