Rick, oooops, I mean a valve spring snapped in half.... the valve was fine... All my springs have now been upgraded so hopefully no more broken springs. Car now runs incredibly well... it's a long story.... maybe we can discuss this in more detail at the 1st Annual Spring Day Ride Event in March and I can give ya'll the whole story..... As of now, I can't wait to go for a nice ride in my renewed Cobra

Ron,
Sounds like you have a plan up your sleeve. Do we get more of a teaser than a ride in March... anywhere in mind?

Bob

Bob, it seems like my better 2/3 has elected Lake Tahoe as our destination for the 1st Annual Springtime Drive Event of 2013. This ride is designated for both men and women (as the temperatures should be higher than 40 degrees). Please submit your thoughts and/or alternative suggestions.
Ron

Good fun! Thanks Ron for setting it up. Glad the engine issue was a minor one. Whew!
Murray, you must have been starving by the time the tow arrived. We thought about you when the waitress brought out the giant cheese burgers at Mel's. From the sound of things your car shouldn't be out of commission for long.
Ron, Tahoe in March sounds cold to me.

At that time (March) there may still be a fair amount of sand on the roads from the snow control. It does bad things to paint

Rick, Like my post says I am open to suggestions but the main idea is meeting everyone, hanging out, and goin' for a scenic drive ...at the very least temps should be above 60 by that time....

Jim, you were correct about the food. NONE at the golf course - just a bar for 2.5 hours.
as i said previously, Ron got the Ione tow truck first, then i find out that he has the cell phone number for Gary at Vintage Performance and got the place open to receive the 'towed cobra' - on a holiday no less! then Gary tells me Ron's car took the only space left in his garage. Ron, we have got to talk. Gary can take the car next week so it should be ready for - Ron, did you say Tahoe in March? Do they make ski racks for Cobra's?
