Default Third Saturay May 18th

So next week Saturday is our time to take the Cobra's out as a group. There was one suggestion from last month but i've heard nothing since.
Any run that someone has had on their mind and was just waiting for the good weather that we now have?

Murray

I had talked to Ken at Ken's Auto Body in Yuba City, He said he was going to have a BBQ get together but I have no confirmation of that at this time. So...........? If that does not work out, we still need to get together somewhere.

I'll be in Petaluma for the Salute to American Graffiti car show. It's a fun show. Downtown is filled with pre 70s cars. There are usually a few Cobras. You guys could drive on down for lunch at one of the downtown cafes. That might be fun. ...Just a thought.

Jim,
Are you bringing your Cobra or bike down there? I've always wanted to do the Petaluma gig, did not realize it was this weekend. Was suppose to do a bike run this weekend, not sure yet, a few car and bike events this weekend, then Big Wink at Folsom Lake coming up end of this month if you like Hydros!

Murray,
FYI;IMO Its usually best to just post a place/time, and just go for it. Whoever shows, shows. Those near the place can decide to go or not go last minute depending on which side of town you pick... If I don't end up at one of these other events out of the area, I'll check back and see where you guys are meeting. Have fun.

Duane,
I'll be in the RV this weekend...no Cobra, or bike, just the SUV.
I'd love to bring the Cobra but it won't tow the RV darn it.

Sounds like fun. I'm getting ready for a move (first week of June), so I'll be tied up for a while.

Its a local move, so I'll still be around (well, eventually).

Going to the BAR again in a week or so. Wish me luck.

We're up at Fort Bragg till the middle of June so, needless to say, we won't be able to participate.

OK, let me get this right... Jim is going to be in Petaluma and Phil is sequestered in Ft. Bragg until who knows when, Ron is moving, no one has heard anything from Ken Pike about his event in Yuba City, and no one has offered any local options... so how about something regular... almost nostalgic. Mel's in Folsom at 9 a.m.?
Give me a head count and I will make the call. If you have a better idea... step up!

Sounds like a good start Bob. Mels Folsom at 9am and we can discuss a run for those that want to do so. that works for those that just want to stop in and say hi too.

Murray,

One piece of advice... stay out of the grape vines!

I'm in. See you at Mel's. Has anyone ever had breakfast at the little cafe next to the Lodi jump site? That might be a place to meet someday and we could watch those fools jump from a perfectly good airplane! HA!

Steve,

I stopped by several weeks ago and spoke with them about having our group for breakfast. The gal didn't get very excited about the idea... to say the least. "We don't reserve tables, period!"

I thought it would have been a fun place and a great photo opportunity with the old Douglas DC-3.
