Ted,
Thanks for asking. It doesn't smoke, there isn't any clanking, clatter, or banging, the valves are operating properly, there isn't any water in the oil...... with all that said, my best guess is a head-gasket, although there is normal compression in #5 and #7.
To be honest, I've stepped away from it for a while.
