Default Kart Racing @ Sears Point (for charity) March 26th

For those of you who want to drive at SP, here is a charitable function that could be a lot of fun - it is their 9th Annual. Even if you don't want to participate in the racing, perhaps you would like to attend - I will check to see if there is a cost for spectators.

NHRA Tour de Charity at Infineon Raceway

WHAT - Please mark your calendar for the 9th annual NHRA Tour de Charity karting day benefitting the Sonoma Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities, the charitable arm of Infineon Raceway.

The event will feature a full day of karting with top NHRA drivers, autographs, lunch, giveaways and the chance to compete in a 10-lap timed race for a grand prize. NHRA drivers Ron Capps and Jack Beckman are confirmed for the event.

WHEN - Saturday, March 26, 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

COST - $325 includes a full day of karting, classroom instruction, equipment, fire suit, helmet and lunch.

WHERE - Infineon Raceway Karting Center, Highways 37 & 121, Sonoma, CA 95476

EVENT BENEFICIARY - All proceeds from the event will benefit Speedway Children’s Charities, the charitable arm of Infineon Raceway, which distributes funds to needy youth organizations in Sonoma County. The NHRA Tour de Charity has raised more than $84,000 over the last eight years. In all, the Sonoma Chapter of SCC had donated more than $3.7 million to Sonoma County youth organizations since 2001.

MORE INFORMATION - For more information about this event or any of Speedway Children’s Charities 2010 charitable events, visit www.infineonraceway.com/SCC.

Default LeMons Race also

Pat - what is printed is what I know

I didn't realize that they have a separate kart track - that's where the karting will take place - it is up the hill on the south side of the track and there is good paved parking up there.

The 24 Hours of LeMons http://www.24hoursoflemons.com/ will also be taking place at Infineon that weekend. This will provide another good reason for attending.

Spectators for the kart racing are free. I don't know about the LeMons race but my guess is that there is no charge.

Food will be available at the track.

Parking for the LeMons event will be in Lot 2 but you can probably leave your car in the kart lot. I am checking on Corral parking possibilities if enough folks want to attend LeMons.
