Default Who sells McLeod clutches locally

I did it again. After working w/carbs I deceided to drive the car to the car wash. The throw out bearing froze, scarring the Crap out of me.I nursed it home .Upon diiassembly it was descovered that the fingers of the pressure plate were damaged,Disk was thin also.I need a McLeod 11 1/2" clutch and pressure plate #SFR0171.The McLeod web site has a lot of pages not responding.Schucks sells Centerforce, and they offer an 11".I would also like to mention the Wednesday school at SIR that I've paid for and isn't refundable. Who sells McLEOD clutches locally? I'll see about getting my used stuff rebuilt later . HELP PLEASE

Default Dark Horse Performance

We bought our McLeod clutch and hydraulic throw-out bearing from Dark Horse Performance. Their website is:

http://www.darkhorseperformance.com

They are located in Renton.

Default new wrenkle

After talking to several sources including Darkhorse Performance. It looks like everybody ( Mcleod ,Centerforse ,Hays) has discontinued the 11.5" but offers an 11" and a 12" which in my case takes another flywheel. The end is never in sight.I don't see me having this car ready for Wednesdays SIR driving school.= $120 not refundable.

Default Actually talked to someone

I talked to Les at McLeod Industries. $85 to rebuild my pressuerplate.$85 to replace the 11.5"the steel heatshield in my alluminum flywheel or $120 to machine and install a12" steel heatsheild in my alluminum flywheel.Thats the way I'm going.Still sounds like two weeks and I'll miss the school.

Unhappy Bummer...

Missing the class is really disappointing. But at least you found a reasonable cost solution to fixing your clutch.

Can you tell me a little more about the class you were going to take? I'd be interested in attended once our Cobra is on the road.
